  1. Proxy does improve Down/up speeds, but… downside is weaker Encryption, bright side is that your assigned or Public IP is not exposed! When using a VPN app, you are assured to be protected (but not 100%), and will have options like types or higher level of encryption. CPU speed and instructions will also vary.

  2. VPN's more secure than using proxy. Using VPN makes you remain anonymous unlike proxy, data is still sent and tracked. Proxy basically only hides you IP address to access any restricted websites. VPN is still a better way to use, in case your ISP is trying to track you down and throttle your internet speed or sending you a warning letter.

  3. Trying to figure out how you're downloading so fast over VPN. On Nord, I'm lucky to be doing like 1+ MB/s, and that's only with a high number of peers. Half of that is more usual. Also, I'm rarely able to seed. Any quick ways to improve this?

  6. I'd only not use a VPN if I was really strapped for bandwidth, ExpressVPN nets me 200+ mbps, which at that point the benefits outweigh the negatives.

    But if you're not lucky enough to have access to high speed internet, this seems like a very good option. Very interesting video.

  7. i dont use VPN .all VPN company is suck they just like virus programs all they want is make money from you.i feel like they are the one help copywright company give us some problem .so they can get business and make monney .we all need to tell the cable company make a vpn programs .they job need to protect their customer from copywright .so they job need to hide our IP. no point to pay high speed and we cant download

  9. new to VPN and proxys here and have found your videos very useful. i attempted to torrent using VPN and my download speeds were about 2-4mb/s. I started using proxy and now it ranges from 8-12mb/s. Are these regular speeds? is there anything i can do to increase the download speeds?

  10. I live in Serbia, and i checked the map of torrenting restriction, my country is borded out gray, should i use VPN tho?
    I mean in serbia around 10000 people download torrents in a day so idk…and it law isnt doing anything

  12. What about using neither? Was really hoping to hear thoughts on that. For example, how serious would you say getting a letter from your ISP is? How about getting two within half a year? etc.

  15. i would like to be hidden from my ISP completely, i don't want them to see my torrent traffic at all, so what do you suggest i do? both vpn and proxy?

  20. For movies i dont use anything…infact i let it go to 99 Percent then stop..there for nothing was downloaded and i can still watch the full movie no problem and put it on usb devices etc.
