  9. I want so badly to charge my iPhone with the same cable as my iPad Pro and MacBook. While we’re at it, it would be pretty nice to also charge a future Apple Watch with a Qi wireless charger one day

  18. Funny how Apple don't want USB-C on the iPhone but they put it on their other devices… Dumb Apple "logic" just to scam the customers for even more money.
    Will never go back to Apple products. After Jobs died Apple has become worse than ever

  19. Although I'm sympathetic to having USB C on iPhone I do have iPad mini and iPhone, so two lightening, a USB C phone which is a proprietary Huawei charging cable and Playstation micro usb. Now if iPhone went to USB C I'd still need two cables just for phones. The Huawei is proprietary and Apple's undoubtedly would be too. Where's the benefits? Plus I don't like authoritarianism and the EU are basically unaccountable fascists.

  28. Here are my predictions on the iPhone 12 regarding the Lightning/USB-C port. The first scenario is that because the EU will force Apple to add USB-C on their next iPhones, all the iPhone 12 models will get USB-C. Another possible scenario is that Apple will stick with lightning for another year despite the new regulations the EU will have. What I am trying to say is that Apple could launch iPhones with USB-C only in the EU, while everyone else is stuck with lightning. In either case, I think this will be very interesting to see what happens.

I love usb c but I in no means WANT USB C ONTH IPHONE …… it would still create e_waste considering Apple has 8 other products that use the lightning connection and any mfi cable or accessories will add to the e_waste as well I don’t think the eu is thinking about the problem properly it’s just like the case in the us where the government is trying to regulate social media giants online but they don’t understand the technology
