An update on Google's Nearby Sharing:
Just transferred a 3.5GB .img file from a Pixel 4 to a Pixel 2 XL in 2m4s. So yes, it's definitely way faster than Android Beam.
on iphone you shouldnt open Airdrop ?
Does this have any kind of pc integration like airdrop on mac?
Airdrop is unnecessary u can send pictures without it
anyone could send this apk? i wanna try this feature hehe
Fast Share sounds better than “nearby sharing”
I'll stick with Shareit
what version of google play services ?
How does it differ from (Google files, share it , share me or mi drop.?
Yeah.. but samsung devices had the wifi direct file sharing from long time ago
Google Finally catching up to iOS after 9 years! Continue making more practical features like these instead of bloatware garbage
okay when google acquired BUMP i was like this is how we will bring back google WAVE imagine if you could just tell your friends to Wave you that file or you could Wave some Ca$h to someone google fucking up
What will be more dope is if this Nearby Sharing works cross platform with Windows' own Nearby Sharing feature
After all this time, google trying to catch up with airdrop on android.
While apple and its airdrop are all works across most of its devices (iphones, ipads, macs) since iOS 7 (2011). 9 fucking years really? Come on.
SUMMARY : BETTER THAN SHAREIT !
Just like any third-party data sharing app Xender and SHAREit but now it's integrated ?
Will anyone share the apk file? Plz
whatever happened to Android beam i been using that since 2011 , it just disappeared
And still most primitive people here will use fucking whatsapp to send files…
Telegram I accept but whatsapp?
great way of taking your 48MP image and downscaling it to 2mp…
Not seamlessly like airdrop.. but it is a step in the right direction for android.. good job google, better late than never. ?
i dont understand how this is revolutionary. its been there from other devs ages now
Can i use this in mi a3
Can i share big files like 1080p or 4k blue ray movies? Or apps? And if yes then how much of time?
S h a r e i t
Ah my dream were crushed when you say it can only be used by at least 1 feet away
Why not just use share it?
Can't see what you are showing
