  5. My ranking of the Best Picture nominees that I have seen so far:
    1) 1917 (10/10)
    2) Jojo Rabbit (9.5/10)
    3) Little Women (9/10)
    4) Joker (9/10)
    5) Parasite (9/10)
    6) Marriage Story (9/10)
    I'm hopefully watching the others next week, but I've loved all of them so far. I don't think I want to rewatch the bottom 2, though.

  8. Lists like this are simply expressions of how much individuals enjoyed the films listed. And being entirely subjective, no one's list can be more or less valid than another's. Personally, I found "Little Women" slightly disappointing and "Marriage Story" to be a crashing bore. "The Irishman" also challenged my patience. I think the list of nominees would have been stronger if "Dolemite is My Name" and "Uncut Gems" had been substituted for "Little Women," "Marriage Story" and/or "The Irishman," but THAT would have caused even more of an uproar from the advocates of gender quota politics. At the top of MY list for best picture and best original script were "Parasite" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."

  9. Well now Parasite just won the best picture! You guys were right about it! But Jojo Rabbit being the weakest nominee? I'll go for Ford v Ferrari, it's should have not been nominated in the first place.

  10. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was 2hrs and 42mins of BORING! I like Tarantino films; but for it being a “comedy,” it barely got a chuckle out of me.

    1917 was bloody brilliant, Joker was unsettling but brilliant as well. I wish I could have seen all the nominees beforehand, but I definitely would have put OUATIH much lower.

  12. THE MUSTACHE GUY IS DEAD WHEN HE DIDNT UNDERSTAND THE ARTISTRY OF "Parasite" IN EVERY DETAIL. WHAT NOW THAT IT WON 4 AWARDS INCL. BEST PICTURE AND IS REMEMBERED BEING HISTORIC?

  24. I think parasite and joker both deserves the award but once upon a time in Hollywood doesn't it feels overated and my sense of humor might be bad probably but I think once upon a time in Hollywood is boring af

  27. Think you guys are way out of your depth with this one but in truth, the quality of your videos has been on a downward spiral for the past few years so not that surprising. The movies of the century video was absolutely shocking, your only saving grace is the British guy that does the anime.

  30. "That script is absolutely atrocious" ?!! for Joker ? how about the line "I always thought my life was a tragedy ..but now i realize its a f**king comedy". Dude the scene at the talk show had me at the edge of my seat . I felt that this was an unstable man finding the words before an emotional snapping point and I was just in total suspense. the script wasnt nominated for nothing, and the fact that its a comic book movie that transcends the genre like Logan did speaks for itself.
    I respect your opinion however I will also defend the script writers who honestly did a pretty terrific job.
    it shows that you guys should stick to your top 10 videos no doubt.

  31. I was really upset when you put Jojo Rabbit in the last place. I found it so moving and also holarious. Its my personal favourite and I think that every aspect of it its perfect.
