    Look at the article's sub links, especially MS/Sony Cloud partnership.

    If I read the articles correctly, it is not just a cloud share partnership, but a tech share partnership.. aka… both machines will be almost identical in performance, with PS5 having VR and a slight speed superiority, but for the Graphic and AI upscaling to newer Gen on older titles, the hardware has to be nearly identical, especially concerning older Gen titles with Cross Play and AI upscaling (Think Minecraft, a 10 year old game). For the AI to work correctly in Cross play games, the platforms must be nearly identical in performance CPU wise and Network wise… GPU graphics/power on the other hand would be user centric.. but again with Sony VR 2 tech on horizon, I believe that PS5 graphics will be nearly, if not, identical to Xbox Series X. Given MS and Sony are in a partnership from May 26, 2019, and have done a joint game release of Bedrock version of Minecraft on the Playstatiin Blog, YouTube (separate channels respectively), the Xbox website, showing the partnership between the companies (Dec 9-11, 2019), there is no reason that within that partnership, technology between companies isn't shared… AKA… nearly identical hardware and performance, which several Devs have stated about both consoles' performance…

    Just something to consider, especially since the source for most of the articles linked in the story above are from Microsoft in the PlayStation backing publication.
