First off the fucking Oscar's are a joke. 2nd give him his fucking limelight without timing him he's nervous. 3rd bet u shia would knock anybody out in that fucking crowd straight on the fucking mouth for laughing! Bet on that. Be humble people. It's all we got to justify are actions now a days.

  18. People are being oversensitive about Shia’s laughing. I have a mentally disabled sister and have worked with mentally disabled people a lot throughout my life. They understand when you’re laughing with them, which Shia was obviously doing. It’s honestly more rude that people are belittling Zach, making him seem as if he can’t understand Shia’s actions or is unable to have a sense of humor. Downright despicable and ignorant of you, honestly

  21. anyone who thinks that this is anything other than a beautiful moment has never actually lived or worked with someone who has Down's Syndrome… what Shia is exhibiting here is known as patience and *respect*, for the uninitiated…

  23. YES!!! THIS!!! As someone on the spectrum of disability, I’m so excited that they are normalizing disability. THIS makes me a huge Shia LaBeouf fan! Also, Peanut Butter Falcon was EXCELLENT!!!

  28. Are people really analyzing the laugh? Everyone understands why the other guy took so long to say something, but that doesn't mean it's not funny in the context of this being a live broadcast and the pause being so long.

    It's OK to laugh a little bit at something unintentionally funny people, even when it's at a mentally handicapped person. We are all humans, what Shia and the Academy were doing here was cool overall, one little laugh means shit. Stop holding everyone to such ridiculously high moral standards none of you reach either.
