  7. Bong Joon-ho's Parasite won big at the recent Academy Awards, becoming the first non-English feature to be declared Best Picture. Now, producer PL Thenappan has claimed that the Korean film's plot has been plagiarised from the Tamil romantic comedy Minsara Kanna (1990), starring Vijay in the lead. Thenappan also said that he will seek compensation from the makers of Parasite.

  12. If Oscars had been really inclusive, there would be very few American films to make it to the list. Europe, Asia and Middle-east have produced great, moving cinema through the years that would easily beat Hollywood.

  18. This movie is increadible i watch it for 4times and ilove the story of it the cast acting is amazing…i have been watch many korean,thailand,chinese movie.and u cannot expect what happend in the movie and boom it was mind blowing….

    Like miracle no.7,be with you is one of my fav. Omg i cant stop crying of this movie…

    Parasite also i have mix feeling while watching it…laugh,scared,terrified and at the end i said only WOW????

  36. I watched it yesterday. This genre is usually not my cup of tea (I prefer sci-fi, horror and thriller), but the film is really impressive and interesting with different moods, tones and layers plus it makes you think. Kind of refreshing experience. I will probably return to it some day. So yeah, I guess it deserves the award.

  38. I went today to watch this movie without even having watched a trailer or read about the film before. Only thing I can say is that I left the room speechless. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, I think this is how you should approach this type of movies to fully enjoy them, just my thoughts

  40. I'm a Filipino but I feel so proud. I just wish my country also supports indie movies, films and even sports so every Filipino would be as good as this.

    But still, my sincere congrats to all the cast and director of this film. A much deserving win!
