  5. Despite it having a 720p screen reso, tbh.. I watching this on my Xiaomi Mi A3 and my experience with it has been great. I couldn't complain more with this phone. SD665, great with Androidone. Camera, best with GCam. Honestly, iPhone sells out with 720p screen reso and you're still loving those iPhones but criticise this Mi A3? You guys are crazy.

  9. If this phone had a back mounted fingerprint scanner (which is faster) and a bit slimmer (7.9-8 mm may be my cutting a bit of battery capacity 3500-3700 would have been enough) then it would have been a prefect device

  14. Upgraded to this device from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. Fair Warning: some aspects are NOT an upgrade. The worst thing about this new device is the screen cast capabilities. Can't run smoothly. Random pixels in every frame. Can't get it to run 16:9 format, so includes massive black bars on all sides of screen. Sound and picture jump constantly. It's virtually unusable as a screen cast device. Never had these problems with my old Note 4X. Have looked for tech solutions, but haven't found anything that helps. Have used this to screen cast to a 2019 Samsung TV and a Roku 3900, and noticed a similarly poor performance using both. My honest advice… if you enjoy screen casting, do not buy this device. I'm very disappointed with this aspect of what should be a brilliant all-round budget phone.

    Edit: Also, I've just found out the Bluetooth has a major issue. Can't connect to my Bluedio wireless headphones. It simply cannot see them when trying to pair device. As above, never had an issue with the Redmi Note 4X. The Mi A3 can connect to my car's entertainment system, but it cannot sync with the contacts. So, if I need to make a call, I need to do it using the phone screen itself, which is dangerous & illegal whilst moving, and so I need to pull over. No tech support to find or fix the issue.

    And if that's not bad enough, the screen rotation is very suspect. Too often, it will quickly switch from portrait to landscape when you don't want it to, but then it won't spin back when you want it to. Very annoying. The only thing you can do is turn off the auto-rotate function, but then you can't use it in landscape mode.

    In summary, this phone is very poor based on the fact it cannot do the simple things. It's a real step backwards in terms of modern mobile technology.

  20. Well. The lower res, the higher performance you get. From rendering user interface to 3d gaming. Beside, 720p in that size not really seem different from 1080p. ?

  37. Hey, need some help here. Just bought the Mi A3, and I love it. Currently have an Indian SIM card as I live in and am an Indian. I will be moving to the US in about a year to do my MS. Will the Mi A3 hold up in the US as well? I am not aware as to how USA SIM cards work. Will there be some compatibility issues? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
