And plus it would be convenient considering there possibly won't be many launch game titles to choose from Cause I remember when ps4 first came out they weren't really prepared as far as games I didn't get a ps4 till February 2014 and had to wait till May that year to get a game cause nothing good I thought was out yet I ended up waiting till May that year and bought Watch Dogs

Unless Sony makes the Ps5 accept Ps1 & Ps2 & PS3 Discs then u won’t have true backward compatibility, u r going to have to pay for those games if they make them available, unless u can put the old disc in & play it’s not really back compatibility at least with Xbox if I have original Xbox game in & it’s back compatibility it works take Maximo from Ps1 so if Sony doesn’t make
    Those old docs work then guess what u have to pay for it even if u already own it.

Making it fully backwards compatible would sell more machines since the availability of the other consoles is limited since many people hold onto them because none of the newer models ps3 and ps4 currently allow the older discs to play. If it was fully backward compatible then some people may let go of the older consoles or still keep them for nostalgia. Either way it would be a good selling point for Sony since they aren’t profiting from the sale of the older consoles or the games made for them since the older games are being resold by used game vendors

20. I tell you one thing, if it ain't BC then I ain't buying it. They can have psnow for ps3 games but theres no excuse why they cant have the ps4/ps5 play ps1/ps2 disks. The fucking thing reads blu-rays ffs and the laser is far more efficient….and Sony are saying they cant have it play mere CD's format games!? Bulls***! I'll stick with the ps4 for a few more years after launch ?? PS fans need to grow a spine and not settle for their crap.

25. Sony. Please make backwards compatibility for all physical copies for all PlayStation generation games on the PS5 and make that feature region free. I live in Metro Manila, Philippines. I would be disappointed if I wont't be able to play my US PS1 and PS2 discs on an Asian Market PS5.

(Well this will be long but ? with me) a few things to notice They probably won't let PS3 game or ps2 games play at all because if they was they'd just flat out say it will plus there is that bs where they want u to pay for PlayStation now which is like a Netflix's version of gaming to play/rent what u already have for cd copy or rebuy the same shit in the psn store over again 4 example I paid for all gta game's and devil may cry HD in PS3 pns download so why in the pa4's psn I gotta buy the same games for the same price over again and don't forget all the hacked and mods in the PS3 online community they ain't fixing that shit ever I made my point but if u guy's really want the PS5 to play ps 4, 3, 2, and 1 games you gammers and YouTubers need to boyCott the system and I bet they will make it happen remember how the fans got Sonic the hedgehog a make over over a rage boycott now do the same for the PS5 and I bet you everything I got they will make it happen

31. I wouldn't be upset if they didn't hold a conference on the PS5 in February. However I do want a confirmation from Sony that the PS5 will be absolutely completely backwards compatible with every PS4, PS3, PS2 and PS1 games including all EA sports games that I have in my library all games.

32. I think MAYBE but barely maybe it will be backwards compatible with ps4. I really think it will be just ps5 with no backwards compatibility at all in any way what so ever.
