    Taron Egerton for best actor
    Rocket man for costume design (seriously, how the hell did they completely forget about this movie??)
    Midsommar for costume design
    Alita: Battle angel for best visual effects

  10. Really great to see all the love for The Irishman, Joker, Parasite, and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. Sad though about no Apollo 11 for Best Documentary Feature, no Lupita Nyong'o for Best Actress in Us, and zero nominations for The Farewell.

  11. They need to add to the number of nominations. To me Eddie Murphy was snubbed for Dolemite. I thought they could have gotten a nomination for costuming and maybe a supporting actress. Taika Waititi should have been nominated for JOJO Rabbit.

    I'm in a lot of condition pain after seeing the nominations……….
    How pathetic the academy is.
    Until this day I was that close to pull a rant from the d.o.f's that ford v ferrari was about to get snubbed for best picture, just wow.
    I can't believe that the Oscars are completely out of touch with the voting and presiding the nominations.
    And yeah…….. Academy you messed up again 🙁

  16. The only snub that made me truly sad was Awkwafina for The Farewell. Everything else was more or less what I expected.

    If anything, this has some of the best nominations out of any Oscars as of late. Even if I don't 100% agree with all of the nominations, there were almost none that made me think something felt off. Awkwafina was the main exception.

  18. Last year was like Green Book was best choice…but this year movies like Uncut gems, Farewell got snubbed OMG. I hope 2020 to be same as 2019 movies.

  19. Wow dude… your taste in films are completely different then mine lol… I fricken loved Marriage Story and Little Women. Joker and Ford V Ferrari were just “ok” to me lol

  21. Lupita was snubbed because shes from a horror film. They tend to not like performances from horror films. The early oscar date this year really affected the nominations. For the most part, they stuck with the best picture noms in tect categories.

  22. I personally feel Joker was a very overrated film and didn’t think it deserved all its nominations but I agree that Joaquin Phoenix deserved the nomination and would be fine if he won.

  23. I'm very satisfied with the nominations, the only snub that bothered me was Taron Egerton being snubbed for Rocket man. He was far better as Elton John than Rami Malek was as Freddie Mercury

  24. Apollo 11 was great, but the thing is it was all old archival footage, so nothing new was "filmed". The task was going through tons and tons of that footage and making a comprehensive film from it. Which is why it should have been nominated for "Best Editing". But I can see why the Documentary Film Branch didn't nominate it for Best Documentary (though I was rooting for it). But seriously, "Best Editing" is where it should have been nominated, and even won.

  25. People are really overreacting over this year. 2019 was a great year for movies, not everyone its gonna get in, relax. I think overall everyone who got in was deserving of it even if i disagree with some choices.

  28. Avengers endgame is your favourite movie of last year? 2019 was a great movie year and you go for avengers? Its a good movie but…….. Ok, i guess.

  31. Taron Egerton, Awkwafina, Zhao Shuzhen, and Glasgow were the biggest snubs for me.

    Also, wtf do you have against Marriage Story? That movie is phenomenal. I completely disagree with you on it being overrated, and I adored the score. One of Randy Newman’s best if you ask me.

  32. The Academy = WWE: Same old shit run by dumb old fuck(s). Rather than push individuals that deserves such attention & praise, they go by a bias political agenda.

  33. I was so mad that Aladdin got nothing,Frozen 2 got snubbed for animation,Taron Egerton got fuck all as did Rocketman.

    Good god it's like 2012 again where Tangled got no awards and Toy Story 3 won everything.

    Fuck the Oscar's.
