2. I wish Greta had been nominated for best director. I feel like she could’ve replaced Todd Phillips, honestly.

3. You know what’s one of the main problems with the Oscars? They select like 6-7 movies and give them nominations in nearly ALL categories leaving no place for other good movies to be recognized ?‍♂️

5. Florence Pugh shouldve been nominated for Midsommar, that is all.

6. for real tho, Jojo Rabbit is not a big of surprise if you checked out all the precursor because that film nominated everywhere, and also it won the people choice award at TIFF so it easily define the film as a best picture contender.

7. The Farewell, The Lighthouse, Rocketman, Uncut Gems, Us, Last Black Man in San Francisco and The King I can take it.
   But Cats not being nominated for VFX or Best Picture… Seriously, go to an ophthalmologist for Christ's sake. Being sarcastic 😉

   Uncut Gems for Best Picture, Actor, Director, Original Screenplay, Editing
   Waititi (JoJo Rabbit)i for Best Director
   Lupita Nyang'o (Us) for Best Actress
   Apollo 11 for Best Editing (not Best Documentary, though that's a snub too)
   Aladdin for Best Costumes
   Dolemite for Best Costumes

11. Sound Mixing is the overall sound whereas Sound Editing is sound effects and everything added in post-production

12. I prefer the Globes tbh, bc the Academy makes it a political thing very often.

13. I am VERY satisfied with the nominations, the only snubbed that bothered me was Taron Egerton missing out for Rocketman. He was far better as Elton John than Rami Malek was as Freddie Mercury.

14. John Cho is currently filming a live-action Cowboy Bebop show and his haircut in this video looks a lot like the main character Spike. Sound editing is the art of recording sound effects, creating certain sounds, and background music, things like that, like Foley artists. Sound mixing is when you take all those elements plus the dialog onto a mixing board and actually create the volumes and the pans (left or right or surround, ect.) that will appear in the final cut. I also try to watch all I can before Oscars night. You should watch Judy, it's really sad but a good movie. There's all the mystery clappers at 6:35
