  4. Yes power counts. The real reason I switched to Xbox One X was for Red Dead Redemption II. Looked absolutely blurry on PS4 Pro with checkerboard rendering. I want to see a true 4k patch for the game or new release for the PS5. I also love the idea of the backwards compatibility for playstation but want NOTHING to do with streaming games.

  9. This would be a perfect time for silent Hill to make. They should remake the first one there way they are remaking resident evil. And maybe even give metal gear an upgrade stonetree make metal gear just give the first metal gear game some PlayStation 5 graphics

    I THink most of this makes sense, aside from the E3 thing and the October release …also that PSV logo, when Sony revealed official logo as PS5

    What game was that in the background of this video? It looks awesome…

    I’m looking forward to this release, but if Sony promises backwards compatibility and ends up reneging again…I will be DONE with Sony…this will be two generations in a row…so i hope they stay true to what they said.

Rather than TFs, I care more about PS1-4 and PSP backward compatibility because the Sony PS library with classic games without microtransactions, monetization and free local multi-player features are priceless. I'd like a physical copy of R&CDeadlocked Gladiator, Twisted Metal, MDK2 Armagaedon, Soul Blade,etc, etc, etc…… ?????

  21. It all sounds good but I would like it to be backwords compatibility if not that would suck ball's, and don't care about teraflops as long as the game blows my mind!!!!

  28. People lost their minds with the teraflops difference between xbox one and ps4, and that was only 0.4 teraflops, now teraflops don't matter when it's the other way around ??

  30. I will likely do what I can to get my hands on a PS5, but I'll probably wait about 6 months after release. Every new console has issues to be worked out

  35. Yeah I mean with TVs being a regular 4k and heading to 8k in the future you are going to want those TFlops on your side for processing. But you can still do a loooooot with a small amount on these machines so we will.see how they use them! Excited over here

Well one thing I'm pretty sure of at this point will be that the system will not play disc based games past the ps4/ps4 pro consoles, only for the simple fact that ps1(x), ps2, and ps3 games were all on a different type of optic discs for the cd trays and thus making it difficult and costly to build an optic eye for the system disc tray that would have either all the lens types needed in 1 optic eye to read the different data types on those old platforms, and it would be impossible to put all the optic eyes in separately in line as there wouldn't be enough room in one disc tray for more then maybe 2. Also, if rumors are true about the load times that sony is shooting for when it comes to game play and load screens (which i believe i read in a few speculated leak posts that they were shooting for 0.02-0.05 seconds to load usage data, not sure if ever confirmed) then having older disc based games to be playable on the system would make it impossible for that to have happen as the optic eye would have to recognize the media, confirm disc security and load the base of the game in those time parameters. Although these things are all possible to happen, it would cost a ton of money to put all those parameters into the console and still be able to sell the system at a $500 or less price range, not without taking a loss again, which sony basically had happem with i believe the 1st 3 playstation consoles.

    Also, i believe that teraflops are important especially if they are truly going to shoot for the load times as suggested above as the ram, motherboard, cpu, and cooling system would need plenty of power to run these components as well as having enough power to run the disc tray drive and any other connected devices without compromising power to those essential components needed to arrive at those type of load speed times.
