  1. Just finished the Ramy series. Spectacular show!! As someone who lives in NYC (and actually not far from the 'Little Egypt' section of Astoria in Queens), I've been exposed to all kinds of people from all over the world. And this show felt 100% authentic …the way it portrayed Muslims in the NYC area…and who grew up in the US…in NYC. They are full-fledged New Yorkers, but yet bring their own culture/religion into the mix….their 'personal brand' if you will.

    I also loved hearing in the Ramy behind-the-scenes clip, that his friend in the show (I forget his name…the guy in the wheelchair..) is also his best friend in real life. I'm curious to know if his friend has always been an actor, or if the show Ramy was his first acting job…as he was a terrific character, and one of my favorites in the show.

  11. I started watching this show by a mistake lol but it turned out to be a really good series and once I saw it was nominated I knew it was going to win

  12. In 77years of golden globe awards , how many times you hear a winner saying Praise Jesus or Hail Jesus ? Here one musleem guy wins and the first thing he does is bring his religion and thrust it on the people. The more you guys give them space, the more they thrust their religion in public space.

  15. I was mad that he won, I wanted Bill Hader to get it. But he won me over with his self deprecating humor and being genuine. I'm now going to watch his show also. Good job Ramy.
