The Lighthouse will get 0 nominations. Nobody outside of the Letterboxd app likes or even talks about that movie. If you don’t like it, suck it. Also Parasite WILL NOT win best picture. The announcement of the HBO series killed its chances of being the winner.
I totally agree with you. I feel like Zhao Shuzhen will be nominated this year for Best Supporting Actress in the same sleeper way Marina de Tavira was nominated last year. Such an underrated performance. ????

The fact that avengers endgame isn't even being considered for score angers me so much, the avengers theme is the starwars theme of this era and the fact that silvestri won't have an oscar for it in any of the 3 films is a travesty

Awesome predictions! There’s gonna be a ton of snubs of course (Portrait of a Lady, Pain and Glory, and The Lighthouse), but I think you don’t have enough faith in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’s screenplay. I was under the impression it was the frontrunner for og screenplay but you have the least faith in it out of the five!
Us should definitely get a score nomination. It is my favorite of the year

i’m just gonna say it. Klaus deserves best animated feature and it won’t even get nominated.
Animated feature is gonna be so hard. I really want HTTYD to upset and win, but Toy Story 4 is also amazing. Frozen II though a big blockbuster and a good film, isn't on the same level. I can't say much about missing link, it'll probably get in after the Golden Globes. I've heard nothing but praise for Klaus and I lost my body, so hope they get some recognized. Abominable was just a good DreamWorks film from what I heard, but not the type of film to make it in when it is such a great movie for animation.

I think the Irishman is going to get snubbed for Best Visual Effects. I really hope it happens. I just don’t think the effects were great. Overrated
