10. He obviously made it clear that he doesn’t want it to have best picture for nationalistic reasons, which is fair to people like Trump. Now that it has happened for the first time, the awards should be given to the movie with political considerations factored in from now on, dont you agree? It can’t just be by the merits of the movie alone, that doesn’t help America be great again. Why on earth did we allow this to happen? A foreign film cannot in a million years have a better entertainment value than an American film, I mean c’mon. As the gate keepers of Hollywood, the academy really dropped the ball and missed the whole point completely. I have to admit I’m triggered by this a lot and it made my daughter cry that 1917, a proper real movie didn’t take this. Truly a sad day for our troops.

He asked “Did this ever happen before?” Here is an answer: There are many other countries that won Oscar awards other than just United States. The Academy Awards is here to award a movie, directors, actors, and actresses. Mr.Bong Joon-ho put lots of efforts into this movie, so he deserves it. I’m really proud of my country. We are one of the foreign countries that received this valuable award. Please be respectful and watch the movie first before you say something about it. You’re going to be impressed about how good it is and you’ll notice that there are lots of meanings behind every scenes.
