2. Both of you guys are smoking crack! You have lost your brains elsewhere, because you certainly don’t have the ability to see a animation masterpiece in front of you. Klaus was the most mediocre forgettable film ever made by a streaming service. Truth be told the reason why Frozen 2 was snubbed was due to pure envy and hate by the Academy. Jennifer Lee who directed both Frozen films AND is the studio head of Disney Animation, is a great threat to many of the male studio execs in the industry. They are terrified of her and knew that Frozen 2 was Lee’s Opus Magnum. They purposely threw together 5 mediocre animation films in the category to shove Frozen 2 out. Sounds like a cowardly Bolshevik move on their part and open sexism towards female director/ producers. Sadly Animation has the worst of it in that aspect.

3. I don’t think Klaus is undeserving but I do think Toy Story 4 is. Frozen 2 was a much better film . (in my opinion obviously) if I were to replace one film it be toy story 4

4. To honest frozen 2 song 'Into the unknown' is a ripoff of love is an open door. But the 'Lost in the woods' most more catchy and original. Plus is it's underrated.

7. Unfortunately, Klaus lost the Oscar to Toy Story 4. Let's be honest here. We all knew that Toy Story 4 was gonna win the Oscar thanks to the academy's bias. But the good news is that Frozen 2's Into The Unknown lost the Oscar to the song from Elton John's biopic, Rocketman.

8. Doing well financially isnt always an indicator of quality,sadly many great movies underperform compared to movies done by big studios. I'm not saying all flops are good honestly I'm pretty sure most have a reason but some are good.
   Also illumination still exists and should die horribly in a fire

9. Having seen both klaus and frozen 2, I will immediately say I'm very happy frozen 2 didnt get a nomination. Not because it's a bad movie,i wont call it a bad movie just a meh movie.
   Let me try to explain myself, with darker stories you need to know extremly well who your audience is and what message you want to say. Darkness is a means to the end not something you choose just because it's a trend or its praised. Frozen 2 feels too flimsy with no reasoning and is too vague,focusing too much on unnecessary lore.making many characters suffer as a result.

   Klaus on the other hand knew what it wanted to be and did it well. Yeah a few tropes and a bit predictable in a way but still amazing. That's the most important aspect of a movie or show. Know what you want to be from the start,its why I feel so many shows are alienating me halfway. (I can make a whole rant on how shows changing halfway to a story that doesnt suit its audience sucks but this is not the place)

   Basically I respect a movie or show that knows what it is and what it wants then a movie or show doing something just because people think it's good because its exists. (Examples here are lore,darkness without reason and more serious tones all these have to be handled carefully)

   It's why I dont mind it when shows are just comedies,they know what they are and what they want and are doing that.

   Anyway i hope you liked the dumb rant

17. I haven't seen Klaus in it's entirety yet but I've seen some clips about it.

    It REALLY deserved it's nomination because it's beautiful and brings back the memories of Hand Drawn 2D animation. Not only that but Netflix take risks compared to Disney that plays it safe. Frozen 2 seems alright but I'm pretty sure Klaus is just on point.

18. I hate to say it (and I really do. I want Disney to wake up and make great art again) But Frozen 2 was about on par with Wreck it Ralph 2. I was expecting it to just be ok but it man…it was rough. The visuals were the only saving grace.

19. People were too concerned wanting to make frozen 2 something “bad” before they even saw it or knew anything about it. Usually this wouldn’t happen for Disney that’s why it’s being shoved aside and accepted as actually being bad (which it is not!!). People are looking at frozen 2 for all of its extremely minuscule “bad” things and take the movie and it’s story at face value rather than trying to interpret and appreciate the movie as it is meant to (and there are many different things to interpret and see differently). Also, why doesn’t anyone talk about simply how beautifully animated it is; way better than anything Disney has done! – they have evolved! Stop ignoring all the amazing things just because you want to be negative and find something bad. It really actually is truly a shame that it wasn’t nominated; not to say that it deserves the win because honestly it probably didn’t this year? BUT it is by no means bad, I personally believe (and people I talk to)it is an AMAZING movie. Appreciate it for what it really is.! :/ 🙂

20. … The Frozen 2 movie was really, really poor. I saw it. I absolutely love Frozen and the characters.
    But that movie was not good, and I think some people should be fired for it, to prevent Disney from making more movies like it. Yes, there are many things I really liked, I really did like many different things about the movie! But it was NOT good.
    Klaus deserved that over Frozen 2, 500%

    They were going to redeem Hans and scrapped it. I give them my middle finger.

27. If Lee and Buck would have redeemed Hans and make Helsa, Frozen 2 would have been better than the clusterf*ck it turned out to be. I bet it would have gotten nominated.
    I'm incredibly glad Frozen 2 didn't even get nominated because it's a bad movie. The animation may be pretty to look at? But it still lacks soul. The story made no sense, the new characters were boring and useless, the songs mostly forgettable, and the characters from the first movie were ooc. Kristoff is a joke. Olaf annoying as hell, Anna insufferable, Elsa dumping the crown on Anna made no sense and even less sense makes have her leave her kingdom to go live in the woods? A glacier? What the f*ck is she gonna do with her life for God's sake?
    I swear to God this is one of the worst Disney sequels I have ever seen. It might be THE worst. I rather watch a 24hs marathon of direct to video sequels than this.
    Klaus on the other hand? HANDS DOWN BEST MOVIE OF 2019.
    Amazing animation, impeccable storytelling, endearing characters, heartwarming music. It's basically the whole opposite of Frozen 2.
    Klaus deserves the nomination and award more than any other movie. Specially over Frozen 2 that isn't even nominated lol

32. Disney is just too scared to try something new. They want money and they want to get the money by playing it safe. But playing it safe gets repetitive after a while it’s not a permanent option. Animation wise frozen 2 had great TECHNIQUE, but is the style and animation particularly new? Something we’ve never SEEN before? No, it didn’t. Sure technique was great, but there’s not a new style. Klaus on the other hand went for it. (Into the spiderverse was also very creative) I still don’t know exactly how they animated every single frame in Klaus. I know it’s 2D animation with 3D elements. But obviously this would’ve required a lot of building up to develop as a whole animated style.
    Also the composition in Klaus was fantastic, literally every shot could’ve worked as a poster.
    I should say, I don’t hate frozen 2 but a nomination? Maybe not.

    In my humble opinion, Disney should just go fuck off, leave 3d to people who actually try to improve not only the graphics, but the story as well – like Pixar, who got into a dip after Disney bought them, but still are trying their damn best.
    Dreamworks is hit or miss, but lately they are trying too, so good for them.
    And Klaus. What can I say that wasn't said already? It made me cry with a single sentence – the last sentence. The only ones that were capable of that are Pixar and this movie.
    And considering that i don't remember 90% of plot of ANY recent disney movie…. Yeah, it says enough.

37. I didn't enjoy Ralph, Incredibles and Frozen 2 as much as I did with the first.
    At first I blamed the BF when I told him I was going to see them. Only to get reminded "The Sequel is never as good as the Original". It was during Frozen 2 that I found myself thinking "Man this plot is weaker then the original" and my daughter said the same after the credits.
    I have not yet watched Klaus. This is mainly because Christmas is over and when it came out I didn't want to add more to my current holiday movie/party/prep/work load. Maybe next movie night I can talk the BF and Daughter into trying it. Saying something in nominated for an award tends to swing some peoples opinion.

43. My son was not a fan of toy story 4, he did not like the ending, he was pretty salty.
    CN is just a hangout spot for tumblr weirdos. Unwatchable by normal folks. Haven't watched cn since they cancelled Teen Titans.
