Nice predictions and reactions. For a film to get nominated for Best Picture at least 5% of the academy voters have to mark it as number 1 in their ballots. That's why it is almost impossible to get 10 nominees and there are mostly 8 or 9 nominees. This was a great year for movies so I predicted that there will be 9 nominees and I was able to predict them all correctly.
