The translator is so good
I love the relationship between these two. Director bong is always praising her and finds her skills valuable and she always has a smile on her face when translating so it’s never boring to listen to her! I feel like because of her translation even when director bong is talking you want to listen to them both.

Everyone is crazy in love with Sharon Choi (interpreter)!
People keep saying that Bong Joon Ho is so humble, so nice and warm, and radiates a kind energy… this is true, of course…but not entirely unique to Mr. Bong himself. I got into KPop(Korean Pop) about 2 years ago, and started noticing that almost all native Koreans are exactly like this… that's just a part of their culture. It's quite impressive. They basically have 2 different vocabularies in their native language: a formal and an informal. Their social structure is very hierarchical, where the young and inexperienced are required to speak formally to the older and more experienced. There are positive and negative aspects to that kind of system, but one of the great things it does result in, is a society of genuine and respectful people, who all radiate that warm energy.
is it just me or is the interviewer speaking unnecessarily fast LOL even as a native english speaker i can't hear the questions properly 🙁

A much deserved win and I have to say. I was kind of trolled by this movie. Going in not really expecting much and coming out a changed man.
Last time that happened to me is when I saw "Powder." Parasite was a masterpiece of filmmaking. To think I almost passed this over WTF.
P.S. How about that translator!! I think she would have a future at the UN. ??
Just give her a national award hehe. She is such a precious humble gem!
She deserved all award that the director got
sharon should be an actress or kpop star, too waste to stay behind the screens, what a personality and beauty!
