12. The 3D audio supports hundreds of sound sources. Greg doesn’t get that each raindrop is a different sound source. The Infamous thing is saying this is what rain sounds like in different areas, but it’s just 1 sound source for the area. Instead, the PS5 can allow every raindrop or bird in the sky to be its own audio source.

13. Cerny said they’re running PS4 games at BOOSTED FREQUENCIES aka they’ll run better. He just said not every game can handle this boost, so not every game will run. Out of the TOP 100 most played, most are working. They didn’t say only 100 will be playable. They’re just saying out of the most played, most are running at BOOSTED speeds. Aka better.

20. I just played through infamous second son and so I'm extremely excited for Ghosts of Tsushima for the gameplay, but I'm a little worried about the story.

21. The top 100 PS4 games was in reference to being compatible with PS5's boost mode, The presentation showed a graphic with PS4 and PS4 Pro modes for PS4 games to play just as they do now. so obviously everything would play fine in those modes.

22. Maybe there is some internal conflict about how to put PS5 consumer information out because it's not going to live up to people's expectations and what Xbox is doing. Last gen Sony could draw direct comparisons to the Xbox and show advantages to going Playstation. If Sony is just a step behind or at best on par with Xbox they may still be figuring out how they want to deliver that message that still gets fans excited.

24. Mark Cerny gave a talk called “The road to PS4” in 2013. This was basically part 2, hence the title “the road to PS5.” Its a great insight to his thoughts on design. Bad way to market to mainstream idiots who can’t read, but useful info.

27. I think, honestly, next gen has absorbed the hype from this year's AAA games. Had Ghost and Last of Us came out last year, or exclusively on next gen, or if next gen was a year away, then we'd all be super hyped for these games. A strange year for sure.

32. It's really funny to see how the games media has reacted to the Cerny lecture. The only people who can even remotely speak about these things intelligently are Digital Foundry, game developers, and software engineers. Everyone else is not equipped whatsoever to talk about these things. I don't mean this as insult or anything but more as an observation. So everyone else resorts to commenting on the style of the presentation and the "marketing" strategy instead of the content (because they literally don't know what any of it means beyond a superficial level (I am included in this btw, I am not trying to belittle this people. This shit is complicated. ) However, this leaves us with really stupid uninteresting conversations. What are we talking about here? This is just hot air/ gas bag sports radio talk. Talking for the sake of talking about something. Who the fuck cares about wether playstation is marketing their stuff properly or not? 1.We don't work for playstation. 2. This internet video will have no effect whatsoever on how the console does. Remember how bad and awkward the Switch announcement press conference was? How is the Switch doing? Mind you that was the console reveal, where they revealed the price, games, and console, not just some spec deep dive.
