6. A regular bar does the same thing. I don't have problem with the bar slipping. Either hold the bar in your hand, hold it in a wash cloth, or leave it in the soap dish and just rub the brush on it. Don't, rightly, see how this is a hack. But was cool to see.

8. What I dont understand is, why you wouldn't just use the bar of soap.. you're literally just reshaping the soap & diluting it into a jar. A lot of extra work for no reason…

12. i have a little silicone "exfoliating face cleanser" tool that i got from forever21, it has those tiny soft rubber bristles and a few bumps on it. i usually get my brushes wet, swirl them around on my big flat hunk of Outback Mate (thanks lush lol) and then scrubby-swirl them on the little exfoliator. same principle as this hack!!! i just also use the bar for my hands so i'm not sure if i'd benefit from putting it in a little pot/tin, i'm just lucky that the piece i have was cut into more of a bread slice than a chunk.

18. I actually use one of the long flat lego pieces as a brush cleaner. its got the bumps on it so it scrubs it up nice and gets it clean.

23. on the lid of the cleaner put some hot glue dots and that can be used like the pad!

24. I use an exfoliating bar of soap which has gritty bits in it. I’m super tempted to do this, make my own and add something gritty to it.

25. I don’t know. For me, “homemade” soap isn’t really what it is. It was already made…. if you’re interested in actually doing homemade soap go to hobby lobby or a craft store and they have a bunch of different types of supplies you can use to make homemade soap

26. Oh Bunny you’re breaking my heart grating up that special edition shark soap that my son loves and we can never get the shark one! I love all your OCD clean things you mention. I have some silicone scrubbers that you could use instead of the beauty blender thing.

27. I made one out of a cutting board and hot glue gun I’m buying made one a brush cleanser pat it works amazing

28. For the homemade exfoliator all you need is a plastic disposable plate, a hot glue gun and time. Use the hot glue gun to put a mixture of different patterned dots all over the plate, making sure those dots come to a slight dull point. Turn the plate over and let gravity do it for you as the glue dries and Bob's your uncle you have your homemade exfoliator for your makeup brushes.

31. Punch holes into the lid of the mason jar with a knife! Put the knife through the back of the lid so whenever it creates a “hole” it would be jagged and give you that exfoliating effect on the opposite side of the lid. Maybe it won’t be as effective? I don’t know! Haha just a thought.

33. Get a cutting board and do designs on it with hot glue. Works just the same and is cheaper than buying an actual pad.

35. I usually put my zote bar in a large enough Tupperware and rub my brushes on it but I love a good tiktok hack ?? I also hot glued some bumps on the lid to the Tupperware but I haven’t tried that part out yet.

37. U can diy the lil exfoliating plastic thing. On top of the lid of the jar that the soap is in, use hot glue. Draw squiggly lines and dots, let dry for a couple hours.. tadaaa..

42. You can do this with the bar of soap. The only thing this does is dilutes it, making it last a little bit longer

47. BUT WHY

48. So for a DIY brush exfoliator all you have to do is have a glue gun and put random or pattern glue dots on a surface and voila!

    also, you could put the glue dots on the inside of a mason jar lid so is always there with you when you clean your brushes ?
