  1. What a waste! The live action series has serious issues, but compared to this it's a master piece!
    Please, don't use this shitty animation on The Witcher, Castlevania style is the way to go, this animation style is Soooo uncanny valley!!!

  17. This is not the kind of Japanese Anime I expected. This looks incredible, almost like they filmed it live action and then animated the film. Incredible Artistry.

  18. It actually looks good imo. And also no choppy animation what you usually see in CG animation. Only the story doesn't look interesting for what I've seen from this trailer

  27. If only this had the art style of Your Name or Weathering With You, but obviously grittier. The cell-shaded look is stuck in the early 2000's. The Dragon Prince seemed interesting, but the art style just looks so lifeless to me.

  28. A lot of people here are pretty negative, but this is a great spinoff. When I heard the Altered Carbon anime was going to be a 3d movie I had low expectations but it's actually worth a watch. I didn't think Kovacs would feel like his characterization from the main series but I was pleasantly surprised.

    The animation is great. The fight choreography is great. This actually has more "animation" than a lot of anime. To be fair, this is a film and not a series. It's not as aesthetically pleasing as Spider-Verse but it's pretty damn good.

    And to those of you complaining about the voice acting, the subbed version sounds a bit better imo.

  36. I actually like the way this looks! It's got a distinctive style which is more than I can say for the way the CGI Ghost in the Shell looks. I know a lot of people don't like CGI for whatever reason but I've always said once the animation looks great and it has a great story I'm all for it.
