IT WAS NICE TO WATCH THIS FILM AS I CAN RELATE TO THE LANGUAGE, CEREMONIES… I WOULD LIKE TO CLARIFY THAT THE NARRATIVE OF THE STORY IS AGAINST EVERYTHING OUR TORAH STANDS FOR. THE TALMUD EXPLICITLY FORBIDS MARITAL RAPE IN ANY FORM. WE ARE TAUGHT THE INS AND OUTS OF MARRIAGE AND PHYSICAL RELATIONSHIPS. THE SOLE REASON OF MARITAL RELATIONSHIP IS TO CONNECT HUSBAND AND WIFE AND GIVE PLEASURE TO THE WIFE. I FEEL SO SORRY FOR WHAT SHE WENT THROUGH, FOR THIS UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIP SHE EXPERIENCED. I'm definitely gonna watch this. I live in the middle of the Hasidic neighbourhood in Antwerp so I'm always surrounded by these people, but I barely know anything about how they really live and I want to learn more about it.
