  4. My Firestick wireless speed is terrible. I also have buffering problems when I use a VPN. Thank you, Triple M. I ordered an Ethernet Adapter on eBay Today!

  5. I have 600MBS fibre optic internet yet sometimes when I streaming a video on my Fire TV Stick 4K the image becomes pixelated from time to time. I checked with Analiti and it varies between 30MBS and 60MBS rarely goes above that even though I have 600MBS. Analiti shows I have wifi connection at 2.4GHZ so would this ethernet adaptor solve my problem of the pixelated video image?

  9. Thanks for the info Triple M. After years of saying our family was going to cut the cable we've finally decided to jump in feet first. It's overwhelming right now because I don't understand the lingo and have to research what people mean when they start talking about the difference between 2.4 Ghz and 5.0 Ghz along with many other things they talk about, but the latest price increase finally did us in. Can't believe I've been suckered all these years "renting" Xfinitiy's equipment. New Modem's coming and we're putting money into a mesh network in the hopes of eliminating weak areas in our WiFi coverage. This video was extremely helpful. I'm looking forward to watching other ones you have out there to see what I can learn – thanks for help!

  10. I get great speeds when connected with ethernet but as soon as I turn on VPN it drops…BAD ! I get 84 with ethernet and like 22 when vpn is on…really?

  11. I just received an adapter today and is worthless. My ISP plan is 300Mbps, With WiFi on 5Ghz I'm getting 170Mbps down and still have buffering on Live TV Channels streams. I got this adapter and the MAX it gives is 48Mbps and still buffers . Seller said is not about the speed is also about the ping etc, that even though is showing 48Mbps it should be smoother streaming then WiFi which I'm getting 170Mbps, is it just me or I'm missing something?

  12. Can I Use A Splitter with TWO ethernet INputs to ONE ethernet OUTput to the TV ethernet INput? (ALL my HDMI ports not working). Trying to add a firestick to the mix. DO I JUST PLUG EVERYTHING INTO THE ROUTER and continue to use. the ethernet cable into the TV? Thank you – "dumb-as-dirt-dude"

  14. @Triple M, can you suggest a piece of hardware I can connect to my 4K Firestick that will both allow me to add additional storage AND be ale to run my system wired? Something with the ability to both allow the Firestick to be wired and to add additional storage and maybe a wireless keyboard? Thanks.

  16. I wonder why the fire cube only uses 10/100 for their ethernet.. wished it was gigabit! Had to get myself a gigabit adapter to try it out but with the gigabit adapter without vpn ..im only maxing out under 300mbps on wired.. i have a 750mbps down and up fiber connection here at home

  17. I have used the Amazon adaptor for over a year and I am very pleased with the results. No more buffering problems and no signal loss unless my cable internet is down. My modem router is about 30 feet from the tv in the room furthest away from the firestick set.

  20. Just a heads up if you a Fire Stick 4k owner.. Actually, this adapter will work, but, you won't get above 100 Mbps. It's a 10/100 adapter. You need a 10/100/1000 adapter AND a Cat 6 Ethernet cable. (of course your router needs to be able to go that fast as well). I found one on Amazon for about 15 bucks that is capable of up to 480 Mbps which more than enough for 4k streaming. It's called a Cable Matters Micro USB Ethernet adapter. It has the micro connection for the stick and a USB 2 connection for power, which will work with the Fire Stick wall wart plug. As a bonus tip, since the stick I have is wall powered, this means it's on all the time. So, what I did was buy a iHome Smart WiFi plug and I can turn the stick on or off with my phone. Those are sold online or at Home Depot for about 30 bucks..

  21. I bought the ugreen usb 3.0 gigabit ethernet adapter that I saw someone on another video use and I cant get it to work, it wont recognize the ethernet connection for some reason

  22. What is the max speed on fire stick? I have 250 internet speed but cannot get any speed greater than 80 for wired or otherwise on my fire stick. I get the full 250 speed on my IPad. So I know my WiFi router works great. Fire stick is 3 feet away from my WiFi.

  23. Never expected this……I added a Ethernet Adapter to my FS 4K……ran Speed tests and they were WORSE with the E.A. connected then I added a OTG and USB + the E.A. – WORSE yet! I gave up on trying to add a USB to improve things because the degradation of Internet Speed outweighed the increased area for APKs etc.
