Hi,
I went in Odin screen. Click on OPTIONS. Next to LOG.
Unchecked Reboot.
Send TWRP file to mobile. When it complete.
Unplug mobile. Remove battery & leave for 30 sec.
Press Volume UP + Home + Power Button togather.
It will start in TWRP.
It work for me. After flashing you must reboot in TWRP otherwise it will boot normally.
Try all steps again untill you success.

Is there a way to do this without using the computer for example to download TWRP from the App Store

I was updating kitkat to newer version and battery fell out, now phone in bootloops. I want to retrieve some important pictures and videos so I flash twrp with odin right? and do I need to root the phone first? thanks

Are they ever going to make a working one click type root where you don't have to use a desktop type computer…ever? I got rid of all my Mac's/PC's because I have no need for them anymore and I'm always moving around so light as possible. Verizon Galaxy Note 4 w/Marshmallow currently. Would love to root but none have worked in the past.
