  1. At my house the E-mail system keeps failing say Xfinity "Long Script" Do you want to close. Of course you have to say yes and then restart to delete all those spam Email ads. Also moving ads to Spam apparently doesn't stop them from coming to your in box. Poor service!
Does anyone have an answer. PS yes history files and cookies cleared to speed up the system. Norton and Dell does performance test and all is fine.

  2. Had a similar problem. Tenants moved out, tv's working. However when new tenants moved in Xfinity drilled holes in the walls and replaced the wiring instead of finding the connection problem. Later changed the outside wiring siting a change in the grounding rules. Strange since everything was fine until the account was changed.

  3. hi, I have the same problem right now with my tv. i'm pay for up to 500mbps but my computer is only producing 35mbps. my guess it has to deal with the rg11 and rg6 cables like in your video. where can i get the rg11 cable and where do they go? is it the cable that goes from my cable bow to my tv?

  4. I bursted out laughing this guy has no clue. There can many reasons why your
Tv pixelates. Can be outages in area or port bad or new drop from leakage can be the ground block leaking in water or he has crimp on fittings. I’m not a Comcast tech but don’t give them a bad rep some techs do their job some don’t care. I work for cox cable and I run A-Z inspection have the tech go to tap diagnostics with his meter then have him check the drop from tap to house see if line needs to be changed have him check for ingress in the house make sure he goes to splitters if everything good then it could be
Faulty equipment nothing from cable company new
    All refurbished

  5. You should never have a splice in an outside drop( be it underground or aerial. That splice could have been loose and water got inside the outside cable and caused the speed slow down and cable TV pixelation/freezing.

  6. I would bet to say there had to be a uv leak at the splice location. If a full scan was done by the techs meter it would have been identified at the time of troubleshooting. My question to you is did you have anyone come out from Comcast prior to your video and the last tech. that was there? If not shame, sham to blame Comcast if you do not call. If so shame on that tech. for being an idiot.

  7. What I gathered from this video is the "router issue" you perceived had absolutely nothing to do with the X1 behavior. Any improvement was a coincidence or possibly you were jiggling a loose coaxial connection and getting lucky. Orange lights are not bad, it only indicated that the connection is not gigabit but 100mbps. The cable technician most likely fixed the signal issue by replacement of the bad drop. The internet doesn't affect the X1 service the way you explained it. In fact the only time a Comcast gateway is involved with X1 in general is when passing through the channels from a tuner in a DVR or XG2 to a WiFi receiver. It should have no impact your main box.

  8. I would hope after a year you got another router that is a gigabit connection you can run another router rather than the gateway, you should also put it in bridge mode.

  9. Orange isn't bad lol it just means its a 100 mb connection not gigabit which is green lol What every that orange port is connected to isn't a gigabit connection simple.

  10. The x1 ,xg2 both have their own modem built into the box to run the X1 platform so it has it's own internet. It has nothing to do with your xb3 the pixelation and your slow HSI was due to your drop having that splice witch was causeing ingress (noise).

  11. + 1 Like. In SE Comcast has monopoly. They are working w/ my city to keep google fiber out. I've had Xfinity for 2 years an I still can't get the speeds I'm paying for roughly $300. Save yourself a bucket load of frustration an if possible avoid Comcast. They keep taking my money but don't deliver.
