  5. Then theres me in Australia last in my street that can't get NBN and not due to 2020. Absolute shambles. 5/1 ADSL2 plus is about as fun as it sounds.

  7. Spectrum (formerly Charter) only bumped me up from 60mbps to 100mbps. I'd have to pay more for 200mbps. I currently have the SB6141 but I guess I'll put those Best Buy gift cards to good use and upgrade to the SB6190.

  9. Hey man. Look… I live in Louisville. Is what all this means. I’m trying to understand but I’m lost. If we could FaceTime and talk it out that would be great. We have Spectrum and we can basically use one device at a time and it cuts off sometime. I absolutely need your help!

  11. You’re internet will only be as fast as your service provider caps you out at. You can buy whatever router/modem you want, still won’t change upload & download speeds

  19. Can anyone help me, I have the same situation. I have the Arris SB6141 and I'm not able to get my full bandwidth with it, I'm getting 100Mbps tops with my SB6141 and I'm supposed to be getting 250Mbps. Anyways I just purchased one of the best Arris modems the Arris SB8200 and I had my cable company provision it to get it to work, however it's getting exactly the same speeds as my old modem 100Mbps tops! Can anyone help me? Has a anyone had something similar to this happen to them and were able to solve it? The internet company is going to send a technician out to see if they can fix it but I really don't have any hope in them fixing anything.

  20. SB6141 with Comcast 120 down 12 up. More than my tier promises. They say it is end of life but it is paid for 2 years ago. Buy your own and save the rental and buy the best you can afford

When you her some one say "maybe" possible.. that means.. no you cant… why.. because the bandwidth being given is as it is.. that your getting less is because the network is crapping out from all the other people, who are the traffic.. that are on the same network…get more speed when every ones asleep, is possibly the only time.

  29. w8 what? you need to pay for your modem montly? and you don't get a new modem for free if it can't support the speed. here in The Netherlands you get a modem for free and my parents pay for a 400 mbps down an 40 mbps up modem and that modem didn't support the speeds so we just got a new one for free.

  31. This is true but they can unlock those speeds with FIRMWARE upgrades. They control firmware updates on your modem, you can't do it. It happened to me when they started the upgrade and I just bought my own SB6141but was only getting 100mbps.. after about 6mos to a year of complaints on my speeds, they have visited a few times ran a new wire from the outside to my house, added filter to the cable from the wall outlet going to my modem, only then I was able to enjoy between 120-215Mbps 15-20Mbps uploads. But I still do get random drastic drops is speeds or disconnects. I will upgrade to the SB6190

  34. the arris SB modems are terrible if they have a puma chipset in them all you have to do is do a little research and you can find out why these are terrible. I don't know why people keep advertising these as good… my ping spikes are noticeable.

  38. iam getting 344 mbps on the 300speed plan right now using the tm1602a with spectrum own cable modem wondering if this modem in video will get it faster.

  42. i also got TWC and known as Spectrum. and my plan service is 300 down and 20 up. with the UBEE modem they give you which sucks by the way. i only get on a busy day 265-285 down and 15-17 up. and if it was in the middle of the night i would get whats advertised.
    so i got SB6190 and i saw a big difference especially on busy days. i get 345-365 down and 25 up on good day and 305-320 down and 19-21 on a busy day.
    i love the SB6190

  44. I know this is an old video, but let me tell you that your old modem was well capable of receiving those speeds. I have a Motorola Docsis 3.0 8×4 modem with Cox on a 300/30 connection, and my normal download speeds are 275/30. The reason you weren't getting those speeds is because they didn't provision your account for those download speeds because they wanted you to upgrade your modem (hopefully from them). When I got the 300/30 package, they tried giving me the same BS that I wouldn't be able to get those speeds. I had them provision my account anyway, and low an behold, I can constantly get close to the 300/30. I just purchased this Arris modem today, only because Cox is preparing to offer speeds up to 1Gbps over coax, so the 32 downstream channels will be able to get me there, although they'll try to get people to upgrade to a Docsis 3.1 modem this time around, but I'll be ready for them.

  47. Is this legit my internet is 5 download and 0.70 upload will this work for me because I live in New Zealand and internet in New Zealand is extremely shit and so are the service
