There is no point to re-cast and re-record an iconic movie from film history. And the actors/visual look of the camera image in genral … it feels much more authentic. This history doesnt really feel like it needs 2018 high-res cameras, hans zimmer like-sound visuals and the dude of sons of anarchy

I saw the original movie before I got the book when I was 11 I got the book from a girlfriend who stole it from her mother an original from the 70´s, I do not know if seeing the new movie, I am of the kind of people who loves original versions. without seeing it I doubt very much that they can beat the original.

An insult to the original . 1973 . U never got the feeling he was being chased . Mist out the most important bits . Living with Indians. How the nuns betrayed him . How it was in solitary . Read the book . If I find the director . I will put him in solitary for 2 years . 3 out a 10 .

How stupid this remake, why do that ? to undermine the original ? Nothing else to do ? Too many special effects movies ? To put someone looking alike Steve Mcqueen is sickening. What a waste of money, take this money and feed the poor in Africa.

Ha…after Steve McQueen to watch this…does this director have any sense that he made just cosmetic immitation of McQueens version, and wish to make money… This movie simply do not have that spirit and enjoyments. It is too technically correct, actors are too much agressive without artistic notes, faces without look, are all the same. Again, immitation….fairly unsuccessful version after an unbeatable McQueen

Never saw the original 1973 made only few seconds clips of the movie tobe shown on a movie cable channel during the late 1970s-early '80s,but did see the remake version in theatre and it was really good.
