Just finnished the movie. Ill spare you the 2hours wasted. It sucked asshole.
It's so boring.. Lame.. Slow paced for no reason.. And many wierd incidents happen and when they happen.. The charecters react to it as if popping a pimple! Not to mention it's very incoherent in many stages! Why is everyone mesmerized about it?? What am I missing here guys?! ?
you guys should have made a ultra low budget slow burning period piece where the color slowly takes the land, the vegetables and fruit, the cows and then the well and the owner. that would've been original. lovecraft isn't big noisy modern jumpscare horror movie material. it never worked like this. so sad. everyone who read lovecraft loves the color out of space. y u mess it up?

To be expected "the book is better" comment. Seriously, the only similar thing is that a meteor fell to earth and changed the physical appearance of the animals. That's it.
However, as a "spinoff" with only vague allusions to the original, this is pretty good.
If you seen one Shrek, you've seen them all.
What a feat to adapt an HP Lovecraft story this well into modern times, 8/10 .

Forgive me, Nicki, you know I love you. But, for me, "Annihilation" (2018) already was the real Color Out of Space.
I just finished the movie, it's amazing. As a fan of Lovecraft since I was 14, this is about as close to a perfect adaptation of one of his works out there. While it's set in the present day the story still stays faithful to the original, and incorporates modern elements like TVs and smartphones pretty smoothly. It's obvious the people behind it genuinely love Lovecraft's stories and his themes of cosmic horror in general. Solid film, 7.5 or 8/10 for me.

Disappointing. This movie is too cheesy. Bad directing? Bad acting? ?♀️ The plot and settings were alright, I thought this movie had a bigger potential. They failed to develop mystery I guess. The girl played more or less well, I thought, at least she was the only one believable.

U cant really make a lovecraftian horror movie, the monsters and in this case the color r indescribable horrors that if even look at cause insanity, its beyond our understanding, in this they just made the color pink

I just watched the movie. I'm not sure what I watched. It felt like my brain slowly imploded. And yet I liked it.
You guys sure you wanna make this lovecraft story into a movie? I mean all of his stories have racist elements in one way or another but in this one a plot point is just straight up “hey some pretty gruesome and bad stuff is happening, we should question the local brown people because they’re the most likely suspects. You know because they’re brown”. I mean it’s a good story but from the looks of that Indian dude you guys are taking some big risks.
Bruh this one book by hp lovecraft legit gave me the creeps when I read it.
