very excellent tutorial. A) it was big enough so i could actually read all the words in the kdenlive app. B) it was slow enough so i could see what you were doing. C) you didn't get distracted on side issues. it was direct and to the point.
the bad thing. moving the mouse pointer around in little circles is very distracting. whatever the mouse pointer is pointing to is what the mind is keying into. mouse pointer should go from and then to and then stop period. other than that it was very pro job.
i'm just learning kdenlive and this is a very good tutorial for someone like me.
This has changed in the new versions of Kdenlive, now you can simply right click on the clip and select "Change Speed"
A much nicer and more elegant solution than before.

I'm having the same issue as the other comments, when I drag the speed effect down to the audio file it's saying "cannot a add a video effect to this clip". So is there no way to slow the audio to match the video?

"Speed" is an effect for video only. I can't use it on audio. Even if it's grouped with a video. So this does not work. Version 15.12.3.
This does not work for me. When I add the effect to the audio, it correctly says that the effect is already there, but I cannot edit the speed for the audio – only the picture. My version also displays a Stroboscope option under Speed. Any idea what's wrong?
