I have intel i 3 2nd gen 8gb ddr3 ram and then here is the Twist I have a GTX 1050 t.i. gddr5 and I have never had a problem with games after I upgraded my graphics card my graphics card used be a GTX 520 2 gigabyte I still own the GTX 520 gigabyte but my one friend is using it though I don't know what to do with it I'll probably make PC to sell

  12. I disable all the startup tasks
    And defragment hard drives, I also partition 500 mb off my 4 gb of ram while running Windows 8. I also turn off a lot of useless stuff

  15. 3:35 Scammers don't use Microsoft's Remote Desktop. Scammers make you download 3rd party remote desktop apps so turning this off makes no difference. Turning this off will prevent REAL Microsoft support from helping you out. In a work environment it may stop your IT guy from spying on what you're doing while at work, but your IT will likely be using better software for that anyway.

  16. One of the first things I do on a desktop PC is Open cmd as admin, and use this command to remove hyberfile.sys and free up drive space.
    powercfg.exe -h off

    This is useful on PC with small boot SSDs, and this can free a TON of disk space, because no one uses hibernation on a Desktop. Your PC is either on or it's off.

  18. I don't have ssd on my pc. When I open up my pc my hdd run 100% for a few minutes this wasn't the case when I first bought ( build ) my pc is there any solution

Love watching your videos mate, I love finding PCs on the street and doing some TYL to bring them back to life… there was one time I found a case i7-2600k with a gtx 960 in Bondi… dusty and in need of HDD and ram but in working condition haha, needless to say, it was on marketplace a few days later.   23. Just curious if you think this would help boost performance on my laptop. It’s not outdated, under-specced, or really even struggling to keep up with any games, I just want to get the best performance quickly and efficiently. With that being said, my laptop is an ASUS ROG GU501 (a lower spec Zephyrus M) with an i7 8750H, 16GB DDR4, and 6GB GTX1060. I know this is primarily directed towards potato PCs, but as I said, I just want to improve performance without risking the computer’s integrity or reliability. Am I likely to see any improvements from this?

    1. When i install Win 10 from creation tool – can I use a legitimate Win 7 key on it that i have or…?
    2. Another thing is, WHY ONE EARTH when I see people teaching how to do the creation install thing, WHY do they use a USB drive but then proceed using the ISO File with RUFUS program – and not just use the USB option that was designed for USBs in the first place?!?!

  28. Disabling meltdown and spectre had very minimal gains for me. My cinebench R20 score before was 1326 (i7 2600) and after it was 1334. So I re-enabled them. I'd rather have the extra security than such a minimal gain. My 1050 Ti is the main thing that holds back my i7 2600, but that's the most powerful GPU I can fit in my SFF rig.

What I and many in the community are still waiting on is for somebody or a group to make software that can modify the code of an Intel driver to allow for any CPU to have Hyperthreading enabled: Especially as Nehalem to Coffee Lake (Generation IX) begin to age even further than they already have, I personally feel that the only logical step after getting rid of Security Mitigations is to find a way to Softmod every CPU from 2008 to 20I9 to allow Hyperthreading outright; many people would start getting a 2500(K), 4690(K), 5675C, 8400, 9600K, 9700(K), and any relevant Xeon that lacked HT initially and thus more gamers and media producers on a budget could probably build a system for hundreds of dollars less than if they got the parts that had guaranteed HT from the get~go.
    Now, I only mention Hyperthreading and not Frequency Unlocking/Overclocking, as you might have noticed: As somebody who has never officially done the practice nor ever used a K, C, or X Series chip (the C Series was only on the 5675C and 5775C, the Broadwell chips with the eDRAM that can be used on a Z97 board; Coffee Lake (Generation IX) was supposed to have the 9900KFC, but this was canned for unknown reasons, to my knowledge), I at least know that you can do an Overclock of the No Suffix and T (Low Power) series chips up to their Boost Clock (the 8400 and 8500 from Coffee Lake (Generation VIII), for example, can be OC'd to 04 to 04.I0 Gigahertz, and the 9900 (No Suffix) can be OC'd up to 05 Gigahertz, provided you are on a Z370 or Z390 board), so that's available for those who may want it; for Workstation tasks, an OC will show some benefits on these No Suffix and T Series chips, but the power draw is too much to recommend it on certain units and thus I would be more than okay with only having HT available, it gives about a 025% uptick in CPU performance for Vegas Pro (comparing 8400 to 8700) and it's something that I'm sure will come to older Intel CPUs eventually, the waiting game always pays off in the long run even if it takes many years to get what we want.

  30. Hey techyes. Can we do anything to make our internet on pc faster? I am using a wireless antenna and I get high ping in games. What can I do to minimize this issue as much as possible? And yes getting a wired connect is not a possibility sadly

  31. I still use Tuneup utilities from back in 2011 era, it has the option to disable some services like printer spooling or something, among others like disabling registry access from network, optimising browser and animation times, and a lot more that really helps speed up the PC

  32. Do not do this unless you do not care at all about what can happen with your data, no Microsoft passwords, no Google , no anything, just playing. You get a marginal FPS gain in exchange of going back to 1990 in computer security. This "I do not know anybody" thing does not warrantee a "nobody will never" in the future, It is like driving without the seat belt just because you did some times and nothing happened.
