you can aslo press volume on and the power buttone at once when the phone is off the it wil start in fastboot mode then go to run type in cmd(commando promt)
and write cd (here write were the fastboot file is on your computer) and then press enter then write fastboot oem unlock and press enter then ur phone will ask for it or otherwise search on google root (your device) theunlockr

@qbking77 I have followed the steps up to where I boot in to fastboot but the unlock option never pops up, I am using the latest version of the software from the provided link on windows 7, would very much appreciate your help, thanks.

Hey QB i'm having the same problem as guus it just won't show the bootloader i don't know what i'm doing wrong i try redownloading it and it still nothing i get to the ADB so i believed it to be working, but once i get there thats it the part where it ask you if you want to unlock ur bootloader just will not show up.

My phone goes to fastboot mode; however, it is "waiting" and never provides the "unlock" option screen.
QBKing, The v.4 link is no longer available. Instead Nexus 7 seems to me the current version. I assume this is incompatible with with Nexus S 4G. Please suggest some place to download. Thanks.
