I had the iPhone x and got rid of it for two reasons one the notch was pointless and two they made 5 identical iPhones all be it have difrent life and a difrent chip slightly doesn't matter its still the same body In every way from the x to the xs and the 11 and 11 pro only really got an extra camera. And he says u need the notch its called a fingerprint sensor its faster more reliable and i don't have to look at my phone or do anything to try to unlock it just place my thumb or finger on the sensor and go then all u need is a hole punch or a pop up camera and full screen with little to no interruption unlike this huge bar tooken out of the top of ur screen and apple sheep can fight it but its a cut out of ur videos and content for just opening ur phone which can be done without even doing any of that

  5. I don't mind the notch. Of course I notice it, I just don't personally think it takes up Enough space on my screen for it to be a problem. But I realize I'm in the minority with that opinion.

  6. This was meant to be the big upgrade in an iPhone lifecycle. no notch is for some of us one of the few reasons to upgrade from an 11 pro, I’m tired of these shitty camera upgrades.

  9. As long as my stock value keeps going up my iPhone & iPads work & are secure I don’t give a rats ass about a notch or the fact the design doesn’t change every year. Keep that stock price surging!!!

  10. I hated the look of the notch when I first saw it on the iPhone X – my biggest concern being the impact on horizontal video. For me it was the black of the OLED being so deep that when watching a 16:9 video you couldn’t really see the notch is there. That said, it still stands out to me when playing games that go all the way to the edge so a bit of shrinkage would be nice!

  18. Nobody cares. Regular humans don’t even know what a notch is. “Oh that? Isn’t it the camera?”.
    Keep in mind that the vast majority of apple’s customers aren’t techies like us.

  19. I always liked iPhones because they use to maintain symmetry both vertically and horizontally in orientation. Now that the notch is there it is no longer the case and I have been waiting out an upgrade due to a number of factors of the new iPhones, but the notch is one of them (lack of 3D Touch, Touch ID, headphone port, higher price being the other factors).

    My opinions how to fix the Notch: 1.remove/move the Face ID seniors and have 2 equal size notches top and bottom, the Face ID sensors Touch ID at the bottom with the camera and earpiece at top, they could also split the earpiece into stereo front facing speakers if so desired(least likely change)
    2.Combine the sensors like essentially every Android phone has done at this point.(that has the sensors)
    3.Flatten the top edge with the sensors covering the whole top of the phone in a relatively narrow bezel like they have done with the iPad Pros.(this is possibly what they plan on for that smaller iPhone).

    They should go for the punch hole and get a fingerprint scanner under the screen.
