  4. Works and get 400+once you do this but after few mins then you only get around 300 after that, which is still good. Even after closing apps again

  5. Hello Folks, Please know that mileage may vary for everyone. I did just as Tech Doctor instructed using my 1st Gen Fire Tv Cube. I went from 178 MB of available memory to 505 Mb of available memory. I did not turn off Fire Recast as I use that feature with my OTA antenna. If there ever was a game changer for my particular model of Fire Tv, it is this app. I am fairly techie and have tried many things to release the bloat from my unit, but nothing did the trick like Ice box. Now, if they could only get it to work with the 2nd gen fire tv box I have, all would be perfect.

  9. Hiya Doc! I'm one of your "true fans." Terrific video, complimenting your previous Icebox tutorial. Thanks again! Recently I've noticed that Prime Video reappeared on my 4K FS, after an Amazon update. I found that in the "Manage Apps" setting. I refroze that app again, along with Amazon Music, which also resurfaced. A week later, Prime again popped up, using resources. Any suggestions? Are some Amazon apps just too "hot" to freeze? Pardon my humor. ? Between your two tutorials, and some of the commentors, I've successfully frozen 38 apps, so far! Thanks again, mate!

  33. Thanks for the update on this. I have frozen the rest that you have shown us now so that should make a big difference I guess. One question though is what is the app at the top of your screen that shows how much free memory you have please? I cannot find that so cannot tell what has changed as a result of the new stuff being frozen.

  38. I wasnt able to connect with 127.0.0.1:5555 but I am able to connect with my PC, but I dont get mantis:/$ I get shell@tank:/ $. How do I get mantis command. Sorry for the questions

    EDIT: I think it because I have a 2nd gen Firestick

  45. Hi the freeze the applications on your firestick is it only the 4K fire stick can do it because eye of the second generation and the one that you use to send the command into it it will not let me do it How can I fix that

  46. When I get to the Remote ADB Shell 127+5555 step, the first time I hit Connect I get a Connection Failure prompt. When I connect a 2nd time I get ‘Connecting to 127.0.0.1:5555’ below it ‘Please make sure target device has ADB enabled’ It is enabled.
    And ‘You may need to accept prompt on target device if connecting for the first time.
    With a rotating ‘connecting’ graphic that spins like its in a loop.
    I’ve double-checked ADB is enabled and even restarted once. Still stuck at the ‘Connecting to’ window.
    Any idea what I might be doing wrong, or have set incorrectly?
