Hi Alex, I followed these steps but it screws up the format of the website. At the moment I have a score of 2 and 13. Do you know any alternatives that can improve the speed without screwing up the format? Thank you!
Thanks bro
Thank You, I did not preform everything you suggested but I did some and scores went from

Hi WP Eagle, I installed WP Fastest cache and got a warning from SG Optimiser (my webhost) mentioned I have duplicate plugin which have similar function will decrease the speed of website. so I have to deactivate WP fastest cache. I have installed smush and tried Cloudflare, my page size is 3.2MB but my website loading score is still 20 from google page speed insight. I have watched tons of videos, still can't make it better. Please help.
Finally after 2 weeks of intense research and watching tons of videos i got my answer right here. Where have u been hiding?
Thanks Alex–got mine from 58 to 94 on desktop–not too shabby! 🙂
Love your videos 🙂
Alex, I use the following:
1. W3 Total Cache.
2. Smush – to reduce the images.
3. Cloudflare – it acts as s Content Delivery Network plus high security. (In fact so good that the famous hackers Anonymous were complaining that terrorists and paedophiles were using it to hide their IP address!) I'm using it for the CDN firstly and see the security as a bonus.
4. Fast Velocity Minify (maybe I am pushing it using another cache/minify style plugin, but it gives me slightly better results in Google PSI so for now I'm keeping it.
5. Various other back up and security plugins. I've found a system that works for me on both sites that I'm concentrating on at present.
W3 total cache integrates with Cloudflare. They're a pain to set up because there are too many features, but once you get it right it's great.
I also save most of my images at 800 x 450 for blogging and save them at about 60% on Photoshop so most images are 50 – 60 kb. I try and get everything as light as possible before I upload to WordPress, then Smush squeezes a bit more from the data size, but no matter what you do Google always says you can reduce it even more. Suppose we just have to be realistic rather than aiming for perfection.
You get a free SSL certificate with Cloudflare also, which is great if your host doesn't provide one. I'm with BlueHost and they do so there really is no need to pay for a CDN or security certificate these days if you know where to look. BlueHost also integrate with Cloudflare, such is there popularity.
One thing to point out, if anyone is going to use Cloudflare. Make sure you don't have mixed content, http and https otherwise you can get locked out of your site. It's easy to get back in, but a pain contacting your host, so beware!
Keep up the great tutorials. I still love watching them even though I know most of the stuff now anyway. 🙂
Cheers, Dave
thank
just quietly – pagespeed provides you with optimised versions of your images(which you can download and replace your current files with) – gtmetrix is a better speed comparison allowing you to measure the site from different locations around the world.
I would recommend getting ssl (running an online store you really should have one) – and using Cloudfront to host your DNS and do some nice free CDN .. they also give you a free SSL – benefits of SSL to google page ranking (these days Google pretty much require it) and the ability to run http/2
I wouldn't use a plugin for google analytics / tag manager – put the proper google provided code into the header.php instead.
I can optimize your WordPress site and have it load 500% faster that it currently is. This is much better that W3 Total Cache and other free ones… Just PM me for more info.
Interesting stuff. Discovered one of my sites is only a 22….eeek!! Can't fix this atm though as it's locked in with a developer. Better off doing it myself me thinks! Keep up the great work with these vids – really informative 🙂
Great thanks its work with me, but I have the same problem as shown in yours that the speed on the mobile test is Unavailable, how to solve this thing, please??
Thanks to you. You are really a helpful person. I always follow your tutorial.
Hey Hey! My site went from 15 (Ya it was horrible) to 78 I'm sure I was losing sales because of this. Thanks Alex
How to use my woozone plugin in other website?I am presently using in one of my site.
Ps. Im yoast premium says you can use multiple key words for one article. That interests me ?
Brilliant test on The premium plugin, very honest review. I've always wondered if the SEO premium plugin Yoast will improve seo rankings? Have you tried the premium version Alex?
Hi Alex. Really enjoyed the video. I use the wp fastest cache at the moment seems to do alright. Have you ever used the pingdom website speed test?
WP Fastest Cache messes up my site like crazy. Can't use it for my site. I'm using the Kingdom Theme.
Great video as always!
I love that you walk us through the processes errors and all!
Question- when you buy a premium plugin is it only available on the website you are working on, or does it become available for ever for all sites in WP?
Have a great weekend!
Do you think it's smart adding email marketing to your site , capturing emails of customers and then well you know how it works?
