#3 is easily bypassed: nintendo Eshop cards. it does leave the remaining balance of unspent funds vulnerable but atleast no credit card is compromised.

You don't have to break a GameCube there's thousands of shells lying in people's bedrooms because they made Portables or something, there's nowhere near enough people to buy them so they're cheap.
