  18. I am so happy about this! This is probably my favorite NT LIVe and the only one I have seen more than once. Both are amazing productions and should be seen. Thank you so much for all your shows National Theatre. You have made quarantine so much more enjoyable. If at all possible could you broadcast Cyrano and or Present Laughter?

  21. I cannot wait to see this again! I saw the original screening cinemas and then watched the encore showing in cinemas. This is my favourite theatre production of all time! It is so philosophical and human – it moves me to tears.

  30. I skived my college to see this.. I had a standing ticket and stood behind a group of schoolgirls who gasped when cumberbatch entered as the monster naked.. it was fun ?

  39. Just before I lost Dad, I saw the one with Benny as the Creature and have been waiting to see it again. I'd hoped to get to see it with Dad. Now you can see it free…watch with me since he can't.

  42. I saw JLM as the monster. It was a preview so we didn't know which way round it was until the play started. He was very good although I had serious reservations about the production which seemed under directed and struggled to fill the Olivier stage. I got the impression that Boyle really wasn't bothered about the bits without his stars. Some of the staging was fairly clunky and I got the impression the director hadn't seen much theatre recently and the play needed a visionary director like Simon McBurney.
    Doubling roles is quite common and plays such as True West with Mark Rylance were worth seeing twice. The Almeida's recent production of Mary Stuart went one further by having the choice of doubled parts decided on the spin of a coin.

    However, I'm going to watch Frankenstein because I suspect it might actually work better on screen and I want to see BC as the creature.
