He must be a former Swift driver.
A few years from now people will be wondering why they are wearing masks.
Need to call Jamie Davis of BC, Canada!!
From the inside it looks like a pretty old trailer.
I saw one like this in our yard. Loaded with 5 huge rolls od paper for corrugated cardboard. The fork lift went in to grab the 3rd roll in the center of the trailer & it just folded up, Scared the crap out of me as I was moving trailers in the yard.
I wonder what was the cost of that service?
Great recovery job – Brill filming …You guys really know your stuff.
The soreader does not lift, it merely spreads your lift cables apart. It is under compression when loaded. The load is carried through the fixtures you insert in the ends of the tube. Nice job of managing a bad situation.
nice job! A different type of job than usual.
I saw a flat break like that once right on front of the TA Truckstop in Wildwood Fl…Highway 44 and the I-75 just one coil right there in the middle where it broke….The guy hadn't even started his turn into the drive…
How much does a job like this cost?
Behold California’s light traffic ?
DOT has entered the chat..
Opps? Oops ?
USA made paper and wood trailers – here in EUROPE there is no such trash on roads……. wtf
To much estupida people
I did a very rough guesstimate and the pallet of magnesium bars at the back of the trailer should be around 2500lbs. Overweight trailer? Very probably. Poorly loaded? Most definitely. Nice, safe recovery though! Good job!
The shippers, carriers and load brokers are the problems that causes this. People may ask why things like this happen? Decades ago if you wanted to be in upper management in a transportation company. You had to drive and actually haul freight for 20 years or more. Now because of affirmative action, fraternization and nepotism, management doesn't even know how to put a key in the transmission. Couldn't even tell you the difference between red and blue gladhands. I was at one small family company that was solely managed by family members. Very little experience on how to avoid this type of problem. You would be surprised at the number of people in log departments cannot figure out the speed listed on a daily logbook. The formula is RT=D. Where R = rate of speed, T = time, and, D = distance traveled. Then try to get an explanation of how far you must go to get rid of excess weight to reduce gross weight. There is a arithmetic formula for that one too. You would be amazed at the number of truck owners that don't know the difference between "Accounts Payable" and "Accounts Receivable." Snd, these guys can go into a bank and get a signature loan to start and manage a business, like a trucking company.
God damm it stupid camera “-‘mm
That is an amazing tow rig. I wonder what it cost.
Extremely heavy is the equivalent
I’m sure the ultimate responsibility is with the driver. If the load is not acceptable you don’t move the truck.
When are these nit wits gonna realize u cant put 49 52000 on these paper thin trls there not tough like the trls of the old days
Good job!stay safe fellas!
Good job!stay safe fellas!
That Trailer is scrap metal, with both main outside beams broken, there is no way to fix that.
As a ex ?? truck driver, what kind of moron builds a trailer with no chassis. I wouldn’t even bother to hitch on to it.
That what happens when you send a dry van to do a flatbed job ?
The structural design of the trailer is not impressive – the 2 lengthwise beams taking the load are only as big the numerous cross beams. With heavy concentrated loads right in the middle (in this case around 34,000 lbs) it doesn't stand a chance. Not driver's fault in my book.
I'd estimate each pallet would 5 tons each!!!!
That is gonna be one heck of a huge bill. Do you think the load shifted or they just overloaded it?
Geez, I love this channel so much! My wife thinks it’s weird, but I don’t even try to explain it rationally ???!
brill vid man
No chassis on a trailer ??? Never heard of that before
Nice job everyone.
Brilliant idea to chain underneath the trailer to hold it together.
Shipper should be weighing that before its put on the trailer.
If this happened in Australia the driver would of been charged, lost their license and sacked
Too much weight in a chassisless trailer, some loaders don't have the sense they were born with. Stay safe and be lucky out there guys and thanks for the video
so how many tons was the total weight?
Gordon Bennette it snapped in half
Good social distancing!
Is that a typical American trailer? It certainly is different to a European type, the latter has 2 beefy longitudinal beams below the flatbed first, even then you must load it evenly and thoroughly strap down. Great video showing you tidying up others' mistakes.
Man whats the forklift music??
then after it is unloaded use chains under the trailer to chain the boggy to the landing gear and hall away.
Great work, so well executed well done.???????????????????????
you should use straps with angle iron at the bottom to support the load and keep the straps from being cut !!!!
Awesome drone shots!
what class CDL do you need to drive a wrecker of that size?
