1. Wouldn't it be awesome if the PS5 could play games going all the way back to at least the PS2 era? sigh One can dream.

4. Love PS, PS2 and PS3. Can't stand PS4 due to most games on there riding in the DLC/MTX/Season Pass etc. etc. garbage train, which is why I skipped PS4 altogether. I had heard that PS5 was going to supposedly be compatible with ALL the PS family of software – PS, PS2, PS3 (and of course, 4) – but if this isn't gonna be the case, I'm done for sure with console gaming.

   I'd rather just buy a good gaming PC, play mostly PC exclusive games and call it a day. So sick and tired of all this modern console gaming nonsense. Plus, for the cost of a PS5, you could build a good, solid gaming PC yourself. The ball is in your court SONY – let's see if you give most people what they've been wanting and waiting for 15 yrs.+ or if you just want to keep pandering to your PS4 fanboy sycophants…

5. I'm glad I own a PS1 PS2 and a PS3 and a PS4 Pro so when the Ps5 comes out I can play any PS game

14. The "Microsoft has been pretty straight forward (unlike Sony)" comment was also kinda true in 2013 at the launch of the Ps4 and the Xbox One. Microsoft had a very very shitty idea (but didnt hide anything if I recall correctly), and then Sony jumped in and saved the day. But they didn't tho. I bought the Ps4 and for example we are 7 years in and we still pay monthly to play multiplayer…Its not a lot of money and you get two games free but idgaf, paying for multiplayer makes me feel like a neanderthal.

22. Why the Hell do console gamers put up this crap? Every iteration of PlayStation should have been backward compatible. I can play PC games from the 90's with a minimum of fuss.

23. Sony does not want BC. You won't get 4000 games. Its not going to happen. Dlc support may also not be there. Song isn't like xbox. Xbox isn't the money maker for Microsoft. Playstation is for Sony. Sony wants you're money. Facts. Thats it. Full stop!

24. Personally for me i dont play older games on new consoles i get new consoles for new games i dont wanna play ps2 games no offense just not my style i wanna play the new games i feel that backwards compatibility is a luxury and isnt needed so we should be happy we got something

25. Gonna flip my work desk if my ps4 disc or online versions of the game aren’t playable on the ps5
