  3. I've been using a kickstand/charge hybrid thats by PowerA I think, its officially branded for the switch and everything and use it primarily with the power cable that came with the Pokeball+ Its worked for me very well .

  5. Is there any way to buy an official Usb-A To usb C, cable like the one that comes with the pro controller? Also, whats your opinion on apples macbook usb c chord? Would you consider it?

  6. That’s messed up it’s not using standard USB PD as I have lying around extra small usb-c adapters and cables from my ownership of Pixel 2 XL. I also have Stadia controller which is HID complaint and for some stupid reason it doesn’t work with Switch. Of course I purchased Stadia controller to play Stadia games and already owned CCU, it made more financial sense than Nintendo Pro controller. And when I am not playing AC on Switch, I love to play Borderlands 3.

  11. Dear Bob… learning how the Japanese pronounce vowels (because the sounds never change… EVER) will help you a lot. For example, “I” Is ALWAYS pronounced like “EE” as in.. Leek or Peek. And for the most part never changes. Educate yourself my friend. Unless you enjoy sounding illiterate ???

  17. I really don't understand why you would buy 3rd party docks when you get a official one with the switch. The 3rd party docks deliver the same output as the original one or even worse than the original + the risk of bricking your switch. Fucking idiots 😀

  21. Well the official dock is 155 right now, more than half the price of the switch. Screw that. I just want a dock for another room, only to play on thag TV occasionally and keep my main dock in bedroom so I can dock it when I go to bed.

  29. Solution: Use the dock Nintendo PROVIDES for the console.

    Yes, i now that people may order a switch without the dock for a few dollars less and can save that money toward a new $60 game. Heres the question: Is saving $60 NOW worth it compared to dropping $250 later on a whole new system? No.

  30. Its worth mentioning that the Usb C protocol is different when referring to output on a TV, some USB type C phones can output HDMI to a TV whereas the switch cannot, perhaps its trying to use that same protocol and it isn't going good with the motherboard built into the dock
    Yes the switch outputs to a TV through HDMI but not through normal protocol, which is why an Type C to HDMI cable wont work

  32. I’ve been using a third party dock for a while now, I’m too scared to go use it now tho because of the new update haha I’m taking the safe approach and using it in handheld mode for a while

  35. Maybe there's some chip wizardry going on with the USB cable itself? Because I've not used a nintendo branded charger in a long while, but I use the cable all the time and it seems to work fine as if it's on the dock itself. But my Samsung phone block seems to not like it a whole lot, which may be explained by the ask for 5, take 15 or whatnot. Maybe a cable dissection is in order?

  40. I bought the BASSTOP shell back in 2017 for the simple reason that I've never really trusted 3rd party accessories, unless I find people on YouTube, as yourself WULFF DEN, that WILL recommend. Especially when it comes to an accessory as importantas the accessory that powers my devices. I also made a DIY PC fan to cool the back of the Switch for when it's docked lol but of course I don't have that plugged into the dock but with a separate wall adapter. I have the OG Switch.

  43. The official switch charger has 2 power profiles: 5V 1.5A for handheld charging, and 15V 2.6A (39W) for docked mode. Remember no matter what dock you are using you should use a charger with a 15V power profile that has at least 2.6A (having more amps doesn't really matter because devices only draw up to the current that they need). But overall make sure you check with the dock manufacturer which power requirements their dock has.

  44. I’ve been using a 3rd party dock for a year and nothing has happened although I have been using the insagnia dock set with a official switch charger in it so that could be why I haven’t had anything….

  45. Wait I had to buy a charger to play on my tv because I lost my offical one and I only found a onn Switch charger it's worked fine but should I still buy an official charger because i always see these videos and I'm always worried that something is gonna happen to my switch

  46. 1.5v is a 200% increase over .5v. Not 300% increase. The fun of talking absolute value (1.5v is 300% of the amount of .5v) vs an increase (1.5v is 1.0v more than .5, 1.0 is 200% of .5…)

    Go go video game min-maxing teaching math.

    But I noticed that one blurb that flashed by said 2.0v was a 400% increase over .5v so it's an easy mistake to make…
