紫外线如何帮助阻止冠状病毒的传播

  1. Cool. Can I buy this off Amazon? $99.99 and free shipping? How about a smaller, suppository version that I can shove up my ass? Or how about swallowing one? There was this stable genius guy on TV that said we needed that kind of thing.

  2. I'd love to see trump try injecting disinfectant into his own veins and bring UV light into his own body through the skin or some other means. God, this guy really is trying to get people killed

  3. No, you CAN use UVC on the human body, even inside it. Whether it harms the person or not is another matter entirely… (note: the person won't die immediately, but may very well get cancer)

  4. Don't forget that bacteria are important for a healthy life. So, I spent some time looking for the DW documentary about bacteria bur only found the one in Spanish – but you can look for the one in English. It shows how we became dependent o certain bacteria around us to live a healthy life and shows other examples of Darwinian adaptation to the surrounding bacteria: https://youtu.be/DxxsEtoiuAY

  5. Anybody knows if resistant bacteria could result from this method? I know antibiotics and germicides create resistant strains because the cell membrane gets thicker but maybe this issue is not a problem with the UVC.

  6. I feel like this is going to be like radiation all over again. People overusing it and giving people health problems

  7. It adds energy to the chemicals present. It doesn't add or break bonds, it just adds energy and then adding or breaking happens. Nuance, yes, but… Let's not treat people like idiots.
