  2. stupid question: does this void warranty? I’m assuming yes because you’re tampering with the device, but technically if you break your switch this would be done anyways but replaced with a stock case

  3. I haven't gotten a Lite because I play on tabletop mode mostly or on my computer screen, but if Nintendo released a Lite in Atomic Purple, I'd instantly buy it.

  8. Don't like the glossy transparent plastic. If someone made atomic purple or glacier blue in the frosted/matte exterior like Nintendo used to, I'd do it in an instant.

  11. the grey switch lite bezel can't look that bad in the atomic purple shell can it? The atomic purple Gameboy & N64 controller both had grey buttons on them.

  14. im enjoying my switch lite. i decided to change the stock turqoise shell and put on an all white one. to me the all white one feels better compared to the stock shell. the thing i dislike about the custom shells is the sd card and game cart covers. with the stock shell the parts you slide out before bending are actually rubber. the custom shells come with ones that are all plastic so down the line you might have to get replacement covers. i do wish the white came with a white bordered protector instead of a black one. a warning to those wanting the clear ones. the white one is my second shell BECAUSE the basic clear shell the sides of it started to crack on the inside (back cover). the shell wasnt bent or anything. in packaging it looked fine but once put it all together thats when the cracks showed up and everything was put together in 2 hours time because i took my time putting it together so i was very careful. it can be done in less than an hour but better safe than sorry. im guessing the clear cracked on the sides because the clear shells probably use a different quality plastic compared to the white cause the white has a different feel to it too.
    besides this one issue i love the new shell and definitely worth it if you want a different look. the white one is perfect if need a base before applying custom skins. now i need to find an all white shell with white buttons, white charge grip and joysticks for my joycons and everything will match.

  15. I did this on my regular switch, I wouldn't recommend it unless you can find a high quality shell bc the feel isn't the same at all, the soft-touch like texture on the stock shell is much better imo

  19. Ifixit has a great tool kit. I use theirs when I did my reshell. I also used their anti static organizer to keep my screws together. Not sponsored but their stuff works and it’s also magnetic so the screws don’t get lost (because they are tiny!)

  23. I love the nostalgic feel of atomic purple, but the black looks really good and i love how it looks like one solid unit rather than a shell!

So what did to my switch lite gray is that i bought the ifixit tool and the dark clear case from the same company. i am a little bit uncomfortable with removing the entire switch just for the case and knowing the current situation. I decided to only replace the back case of the switch. So before putting my dark clear case on i added a decal sticker on the Metal shield it look super cool im glad that i went with it. As for the front i ended up using a really cool dark decal from Dbrand with their big option for tempered glass it match really well with the gray bezel. The one downside i have for these clear cases that the SD and Game card slots aren't that great with their quality being really cheap and so i wanted to keep all the original parts from my switch for these slots however the original game card plastic piece does not match the clear case, the case is slightly bigger for the plastic piece to go in. I have heard that not all clear case are the same side so i was lucky that i can screw the back clear case on to my original front case

    Is it possible to fit some new led for the home button or maybe the cross and abxy button ?

  37. I did this with my normal switch, now it’s in a jungle green shell, not gonna bother doing this for my lite since it’s the Pokémon special edition
