I was personally impressed not only personally but absolutely impressed with General Welch testimony during his confirmation hearing. Secty Def Panetta has made a excellent selection. Welch appears to be intelligent, sensitive, well informed, knows the facts, and communicate smoothly and effecteively. Hat's off to General Welch!

This is one of the most inspirational speeches I've ever had the honor of listening to. Knowing that men and women like him will be in charge of molding me into the best that I can be once I enlist puts my mind at great ease.
His statement on leadership being a gift is dead-on!! As a career Fire Captain and the father of an a soon to be USAF Security Forces airman, I have yet another hero in my life and hope to live up to those words. Thank you General Welsh and all those who choose to serve!

The men and women who humbly serve our nation set an inviolable example of what we should all aspire to be. Our nation needs inspiration. We are more divided, self-concerned, and at risk than at any other time since the Civil War. We need leaders committed to their mission and our nation.
