  1. 11:38 wait… the major news outlets, TV and Paper, have been using copyrighted material without paying for it for years. It is part of Australian fair use laws, if it's for "reporting news" you don't have to pay for anything (or have any kind of permission). You can even cut off or blur watermarks, you can do it to things that are even created solely to be sold to news organizations. Big news outlets do it all the time, how could they possibly stop google and facebook from doing the same thing they do to others?

  2. advertises Unlimited Data then proceeds to limit Data? is that not false advertising if i am not mistaken is completely illegal. smells like a potential law suit.

  3. With Aussiebroadband since early July been getting consistently 109 Mbps down. Before that it 95 Mbps down. That is a 14 Mbps improvement. That like an additional pre-NBN ADSL worth of bandwidth.

  4. With AussieBB FTTN not noticed any increase Difference at all….just had a chat with AussieBB …they didnt know anything about it.!

  5. ans we are are worried about tik tok and Chinese government lol if u have social media of any kind and ur against tik tok ur a hypocrite

  6. I have a great one. (& It's true)

One of my customers has Telstra FTTN (Business) and there connection speeds via Telstra on nbn is 50/20 and average connection is 46/18, but connection to the node is a whoping 140/60, well they are only 50 cable metres from the node.

  7. 250Mb/25Mb advertised with ABB.

Getting 275Mb/24Mb with over provisioning. (via speed tests).

But when actually downloading, I have seen it hit around the 300Mb mark. (I use IDM (internet download manager) with 32 simultaneous connections and hit 37MB)

  8. My internet is has had it's coexistence turned off. But I was still only getting 20/1.
After an NBN maintenance (firmware update I found out) my internet was dropping out around 40-50 times within 24 hours (80% downtime, if not more).
so far 4 different NBN tech guys have come to look at the line, and only the last guy has made any difference so far, improving the stability completely and the speed somewhat, I current sync at 27/1.5
I'm still in talks with my provider and NBN tech #5 is coming on the 10th of Aug to attempt to improve the speed further, saying he knows what the fault might be.

My problem is, from what he is saying he might be able to bump it JUST past the min spec of 25/5 (he said around 40/8 actual speed to my house) and if that is in fact all h can do, it'll suck because I want NBN to install a micronode here… Because it's not JUST the speed I'm looking for but stability. Problem with my location is, I'd say every 3-4 months my internet has major stability issues, having almost no internet for a week or longer at a time and it's just a major pain for so many reasons..

So I'm actually hoping the NBN tech #5 can do nothing and my speeds do not go up anymore than it currently is and NBN will be forced to install a new node closer to me. Improving both the speeds by a larger margin and more importantly the stability.

  9. Under National Consumer Law "Unlimited" is just that. Some wishy washy vague wording is not good enough for the Consumer. Spit it our you fool corporation. Tell me the truth.
