19. What many viewers don't understand about Tik Tok is its ties to the CCP (Chinese Communist Party). I'm not a Trump supporter in any way. I am a supporter of our American Country and protecting it from other countries that do not support democracy as flawed as it may be.

    Tik Tok's parent company Byte Dance is a major data collection in China. Many may not realise especially Tik Tok's younger users the control the CCP has over Chinese owned businesses. If the CCP wants user data from Tik Tok Byte Dance will provide it for them, they have to being based in China. Now yes Tik Tok has an American CEO BUT it's still a Chinese based company. The CCP has lied about so many things to their own people and to the world.

With TikTok, though, there are a few big concerns: One of the more problematic implications is a 2017 Chinese law, which requires Chinese companies to comply with government intelligence operations if asked. That means that companies based in China have little recourse to decline should the government request to access data.

    And it goes deeper than that. But it all comes down to our security and privacy with a Communist government that doesn't play by the global rules, just their own.
    But people rather cry about not being able to post their video Tik Tok and take it out on Trump than he concerned for their security of their country and for themselves.

    (This data is then used for marketing and/or to manipulate society)

    However, China doesnt allow American social media platforms, Hence why USA is against Tiktok.
    Meaning China doesn't trust American platforms like twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc because USA can collect data on china.

    So Why should America allow a Chinese platform (TikTok) that collects data on Americans? That's what this is about.
