  1. This thing doesn't seem to like Mac OS. Tourbox's video makes it seem simple, but my experience was anything but. Apparently for a number of people you have to go into the terminal and start running unix commands and I don't want to bother with that so I'm returning it.

  2. This is just an upgraded version of the Wacom remote. Yes, it's made to work for people who don't use a Wacom remote. The benefit is the type of buttons the tourbox has. The buttons were made to suit creators, wheels, d-pad, scroll, I think I also see an analog stick? Maybe if your not use to these control, a multi button mouse would probably do the same work, without the multiple wheels options as the tourbox offers. I wouldn't mind picking one up, due to me adapting to quick on screen buttons using my Intuos Pro. I'm not sure if he specified the price? Good job on creating something useful for creators, seems like a step forward for the industry. Great review!

  3. The Razer Tartarus v2 Gaming Keypad has worked best for me. Feels great in my hand and it has a ton of programmable buttons. It’s been a necessity for zbrush and PS.

  4. It's useful but it's not worth the price that is being asked. I can (and have) get a small wireless keypad to assign shortcuts to for a fraction of the price with the only thing missing being the turnable dials.

  5. Hey folks a word of warning with regards to price. I just ordered one then got an email from DHL a few days later with a bill for an additional 50 euros for import taxes, which kinda sucks. The advertised price was just about in my ‘give it a punt’ price range. If i had known about the additional charges I might have thought twice. Anyways it should be arriving tomorrow 🙂 hopefully it’ll be super handy.

  6. Honestly you should get a "8bitdo zero 2" bluetooth game controller for $25 and customize it to your liking. It works great. Brad make sure to take a look at this.

  7. cool idea, but they need to make this ergonomic for people who need shortcuts all day 5 days a week. I've been using a Logitech G13 gaming pad for all my shortcuts in Photoshop for years, and I have never had wrist pain or anything. Its so much more ergonomic and efficient than a regular keyboard where you are performing finger gymnastics to undo etc. This thing is a great idea but looks like it needs refinement to make itself somehow more valuable to my workflow than repurposed gaming accessories that already do everything this thing does but better and cheaper.

  8. a neat device but i still like using a keyboard. i name my layers and do a lot of key combination with it even when i am not looking at it. and with that price you can already get decent wireless mechanical keyboard.

  9. It would have been an okay controller for like 50 bucks. Charging 170 for it seems borderline criminal to me. Questionable egonomics, limited capabilities, designed to look like a cheap plastic toy from the 90s. There are so many better alternatives out there for editors and artists. It's a pass for me.

  10. I really like the idea of this and it's really affordable in comparison to something like the Loupedeck. The thing I like most about this is that I imagine I could easily 'feel' my way around it without having to look and having an auto setting for flicking between PS and Illustrator could be really useful. Hopefully it wouldn't conflict with the shortcuts on my pen display.

  11. Price is very steep and it's not very ergonomic. I've been using an 8-Bit-Do Zero controller with my ipad which set me back like £10 and fits snugly in the palm of my hand. You can remap the buttons to any key presses you like with their software. On desktop you can use pretty much any game console controller you own if you remap buttons with Joy2Key. This seems under-engineered and overpriced.

  12. I actually use an XBOX One controller remapped with reWASD. I use it for drawing and 3D modeling. I find it much better than the Wacom Remote for the simple reason that I know what I am pressing, and don't have to take my eyes off the canvas.

  13. hope they keep ading built in options because with that pricce there is not reason to buy this over something like the Razer Tartarus keypad
