it's hilarious to hear how they've been called "sellouts" and some of my friends have said they "made it" because there is a moderate amount of success, or at least notoriety to the band. it seems like the level of success is measured on self sustaining through the art, but it's such a small and space culture held together by many passionate people so the act of sustaining life through art due to a large following seems like "making it"…..but they are so fucking small.
it's not like WB or Universal are backing dump-trucks of money into their backyard begging for a collab with Taylor Swift or being Ke$ha's backing band.
as they say "it's a long way to the top if you wanna rock n roll" and it seems like punk has it's own "top".
