  3. The price difference between the iPhone 12 128 GB and the iPhone 12 Pro is only $150. That’s is half the difference of the iPhone 11 and 11 pro when they launched.

  6. Oh dear that scratch looks deliberate. Why are tech reviewers the only ones having all the problems. They also have a scratch, screen burn, bend – literally out of the box!

  7. The camera from the other phone is made from a harder material. Sapphire, so if it slides across the ceramic shield it’s gonna scratch it.

  10. Square sides are just poor design. The previous phones look better. Not that the 12 looks bad, but just…why go with the harsh edges?

  17. I agree with being frustrated by the screen being less scratch resistance but how about not rubbing another metal/glass phone against the screen? Lol

  18. For the same storage, it’s only a £150 price difference, which is big but not as big as the amount you’re already paying. It’s not too big a difference tbh

  19. Another reviewer that does not get the normal v pro strategy this year. There is absolutely no reason to get the standard phone this year. (Hear me out). Both are ALMOST identical in many ways. BUT the price is 200 apart this year not 300. Ad 128 to the 12 (let’s face it 64 is just not enough anymore) and now your 150 difference. So what do you get for the extra 150. More ram. Third camera, lidar. Better aesthetics( frosted glass back). Brighter screen. Again all for 150 more. If you are on a carrier plan thats about 6 dollars a month. Why would anyone NOT get the pro for an extra 6 a month. If you don’t want the 128 you are still about 8 dollars a month difference. Millions will get the standard because they watch YouTubers say the 12 is all you need. But take what I read and research yourself. The pro is actually the better value. Last year the 11 was 300 away from the pro and was there was a bigger difference in the two, the main being the screen. Not this year. Please people don’t listen to all the videos that say the 12 is the one to get. Not this year.

  20. The camera lens is a sapphire blend that is harder than glass or ceramic the lenses protrude slightly off the lens ring. That’s the scratch.

  23. Totally agree on the red colour. It doesn’t look like anything they’ve released before, but it’s grown on me a lot and it’s still the best option of the bunch IMO.

  25. I got my 12 in blue on Friday. Very pleased. Battery life is good, not great. On a normal day I make it to bedtime with some charge left. On Saturday, I had to run Zoom for 3 hours and it required a top-off in the evening. Otherwise, everything is so Apple. Not exciting, but so we'll executed!

  28. Am I the only one that realizes putting two phones together and rubbing them around to compare size is a bad idea when these phones have the same ceramic coating? Diamonds cut diamonds and same thing here with the iPhones.

  30. I'm not paying £800 for a phone with a:

    1. battery downgrade
    2. No 90hz/120hz
    3. No charger in box
    4. No headphones in box
    5. No case in box
    6. Massive 2017 notch

  32. I'm sooooooooooooooooo pi$$ed at Apple. I thought my prior charging bricks would work but nope. LUCKILY I have a new iPad with a compatible charger. Don't feel like sharing nor BUYING A CHARGER. Thats like buying a new car without tires. Everybody's got tires, just use those old one. Also so 5G- I'm going to give back the Pro and go back to my GS9+.

  34. So ear buds and chargers are not in the box to be environmentally friendly. How does buying a separate charger which needs to be shipped separately (energy expenditure) and boxed in its own packaging (more packaging than simply adding to the iPhone's existing packaging) create less waste? I am not convinced and Apple is simply using a political excuse to make more money.

  36. The ceramic shield was never claimed to be any more scratch resistant… It was however supposed to be more break proof… please get your facts straight

  37. That's three independent reviewers now who i've watched, that have managed to get a scratch on their iPhone 12s without any kind of rough treatment. On the plus side, the glass is indeed tougher, but then, so is plastic. Might as well have a tough plastic screen and a thin glass screen protector that you could change any time it broke or scratched. That might eat into Apple's profit margin though…

  38. There are a lot of reviewers claiming that the phone scratches easily. The ceramic coating is for better drop protection NOT scratch resistance.

  41. Do you think Apple should drop the 'Pro' branding for next year's iPhones, and make just an iPhone 13 Mini (5.4''), Mid (6.1"), and Max (6.7")? They would all have triple cameras with the LiDAR reader, and Apple would ditch the stainless steel bodies of the original Pro iPhones and the glossy glass backs of the normal iPhones. So these phones would be made with aluminum and frosted glass backs. And I would suggest a pricing of 800 dollars, 900, and 1000 respectively.

    Not sure if you are talking about the 11 when saying old, but every time I see a 12 or 12 pro, I see a iPhone 4/5 with just a newer screen. Definitely not revolutionary. Unfortunately.
