  3. Why does this have more likes than dislikes? Bowie himself didn't want a movie being made about him, his family didn't either, the bloody music won't even be in it. Why bother seeing this??

  10. I, for one, look forward to seeing this film. I was impressed by Johnny Flynn’s turn as Einstein in Genius, and I thoroughly enjoy his first album. He’s got this.

    On a side note, The Man Who Sold The World turns 50, today, and that album seems to be the setting for this film.

  15. Now British production companies have run out of cheesy royal family stories to make on the cheap to sell to America as Oscar bait. They move on to rockstars and after two films the formula is already tired.

  20. Dead Against It and I had a Sense of Doubt before I even watched the trailer. Sorry, but What In the World made them think they could take one of the world's greatest Heroes (and The Prettiest Star) and reduce his Golden Years to this Day-In-Day-Out 'Ching-a-Ling? Get Real… I Can't Explain the Sorrow I feel in this Repetition but (although I Keep Forgettin') the Reality, After All, is that As The World Falls Down – or should I say, Criminal World – Telling Lies for Fame is what keeps Hollywood ticking. It's Little Wonder his family didn't want this biopic to be made, and I think they'll definitely Look Back In Anger at this. Still, we can only hope for A Better Future where bullshit biopics are discouraged – I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday.

  22. Looks like they've done Bowie a massive disservice in this. They've totally mistaken his quirkiness for campness. He sounds more like a drag queen than Bowie.

    Bowie had so much depth and beauty… This is a discredit to his genius. It takes his ingenuity and trivialises it ??‍♀️

  33. Since a certain number of you don't like this, I reccomend watching Urban Myths: When Bowie met Bolan. It has a (debatably) more accurate portrayal of David (played by Luke Treadaway), and actually has two of his songs in it (Liza Jane and The Prettiest Star).

  35. Wow! A movie that talks about Bowie and not Jones. Stop criticizing! I want to see it with a positive vision, because I am a fan and everything that talks about Bowie is art.

  38. This would have been better if it was just a story about a struggling artist in those times and not Bowie, this isn't authorised and they don't have the rights to play any of his songs. They should have just made their character
