  4. I have the unusual distinction of pain on my entire pubic area. Penis base up to belly. Reckon same principles apply ? It turns into terrible spasms most days, and I have to stay home and take all my clothes off otherwise it feels like my pubic area and waste are stuck under 200kgs. The less pressure on the area the less pain, but the muscle spasms still hurt and I need to take valium to stop them

Hi Ian, i got a uti a few months back followed by some serious back stiffness after the uti cleared i still had and have urgency and sensation to my anus and penis, all my follow ups came back clear luckily i dont have pelvic pain doc said to drink fluids and take anti inflamatories, i just came across your videos and like what i see, i have one question does the roller help with the penal pain and urine frequency

  8. As someone who has been treating myself with CPPS since September 2018, I would like to add a disclaimer to Ian’s roller and ball therapy advice. I was using a lacrosse ball when my pain was very intense and breathing through it…..after working with Dr. Susie Gronski in Asheville, NC (an expert PT doc specializing in CPPS) I learned that you don’t treat pain with more pain. Nerves that are angry don’t like to be made angrier (don’t poke the bear idea) as you may be making things work…….if you are PAST most of the pain and the nerves around your pelvis have settled down, I think you will make improvements with these rolling techniques…..my experience early in my treatment made things worse and hindered the calming of the nerves……BUT I really applaud Ian’s work overall and look forward to learning things from his experience……we are all different and this is a complex problem.

    DO NOT ROLL ON TRIGGER POINTS.

    Find the trigger point.
    Isolate it.
    Cut off the blood supply with pressure for up to 5 minutes till it relaxes. It may take several treatments

    If those fail go to a highly experienced acupuncturist trained in dry needling.

    The way you treat "knots" with foam rollers, lacrosse balls is called ischemic pressure. When you find the knot you want to stay on it for up to 5 minutes. You do not want to roll over it back and forth

  14. hey what you do is fantastic. I recover from cpps which started almost year ago. It started with uti infection for which I was prescribed cipro antibiotic. That was a mistake. Cipro destroys your body and muscles! There a lot of stories like this… I remeber last day I took this drug a started feeling little pain in my groin area, than ofter jogging I felt horrible pain below my testicles. I started going to diffrent uros checking my urine few times, doing std tests and doing ct scans. 4 months ago after horrible pain in lower abdomen I was lucky to end up in special PT clinic which specializes in all sorts of pain. They did a rectal examination of my muscles and everything was in pain down there – in fact one of uros found such spot during rectal check but he did not know that was a muscle. I follow your channel for 2 months – the stretches you do are almost the same I do as my PT routine a most of all you bring hope to us all. After 4 months I still fight with anxiety etc.. but I fell that stretching works even for testicle pain!. I have 1 question: did you ever get penis/urthea pain/irritation? It started for me now, did a test for urine and it is all clear. In the past I did a std tests from urthea and got no results. Wonder if urtheral pain (almost every day) is another cpps anoying symptom
