  5. the fan didn't run because they're now using the AMD CPU not and Intel. Also, AMD CPU don't consume as much battery because they don't produce as much heat. I'm still sceptical. Maybe because I am another tech youtuber who looks at the numbers. I think majority of people don't and apple could easily sell to them. They might be good but I don't think performance to price ratio could ever be justified for apple products. Until I don't get some free Apple products, I won't know ?

  6. Hardware looks promising with 5nm but in the computer industry..it takes 2 to tango..the software support may take a while for this thing to be a success like an iphone

UA software compatibility with Big Sur is being thoroughly tested, and full qualification is coming in future software updates. We recommend that you wait until UAD software compatibility with Big Sur is announced before updating to this new operating system.

  9. One thing has to said (although it's really not the same target market). For years on my $£300 laptop I've had DAYS of battery life, Smooth video, fast web browsing, easy email access etc day to day usage (not video editing ?). What laptop is it? An Asus c301s Chromebook! I think these are probably going to start to die out as Google are now bloating the chrome OS but there was a sweet spot for a few years where for your average Joe this was what people should have been buying (for most people who just use the apps I pointed out above). I am tempted once apple ARM price goes down to switch to Apple in the future – maybe I'll find something small and light with days of power for general day to day plus will replace my pc for high power stuff. However I've never been ready to spend apple money on laptops……

  12. The reason Apple is so vague is likely because they’re targeting a market that probably isn’t as “tech savvy” as a lot of windows users.

    Then gives a feeble Fanboy response; apologizing for the poor new Apple product performance.
    Very much contradicts himself.
    Intel MBP: 10 minutes: 50 seconds
    M1 MBP: 12 minutes:48 seconds
    28-core Mac Pro: 7 minutes:35 seconds

    However Marques Brownlee does dare to admit that Apple avoids using real numbers to describe their bad products (2:38). Avoided are battery capacity, screen pixels, screen refresh rates, screen contrast, screen accuracy, etc.
    As usual, these fanboys do not mention the screen to body ratio on smartphones, the thick edges, poor contrast ratios, poor maximum brightness, inferior & unknown screen hardness, suspected of using Muslim slave labor in China, is manufactured in China, and the fact that it has very many Samsung components.

  25. @ people commenting here, in your opinion, would it be worth it for me to get the m1 mac rn? My current mac is an older mac air model and it's battery barely works anymore LMAO (on replay now and I can't take it off the charger for more than an hour), so I need a new one soon. I'm debating on getting the discounted intel one bc it's cheaper, but if this one is a lot better, I'd rather do that I think. The only program I really use on it rn is final cut pro, if that makes a difference. Sometimes garageband.
